Our church group reserved a large section of the restaurant, from X:XX-X:XX p.mfor a special event we were having We paid our deposit for the reservation, as requested However, when all of our seats had still not been filled because not all of our guests arrived right at 5:00, the waiters and waitresses began pressuring our group leader, asking if we were expecting more guests, because they wanted to use our reserved space to serve other customers walking in the door The service was very forcedit was evident that the servers were not happy to serve usI asked the server if I could have a little bit of extra pesto sauce on the side, and she told me that \"he\" (not sure who \"he\" is) had decided not to give any extras that night That seemed odd to me, because we were giving them business and we were paying quite a penny for our meal At the end, when our time to be there was up, several couples were waiting in line to pay for their meals, and one lady in our group heard one of the servers say, \"When are these people going to leave?\" It was honestly such a disappointment, because it was something special for all of us, and we felt unappreciated and looked down on Perhaps it was due to racist feelings on their part, because everyone in our group was Latino except for me

Review: My family dined at this establishment on June [redacted]. When I attempted to utilize a valid gift certificate the proprietor refused to honor it. He claimed the restaurant was no longer Vespa although their telephone number and website still operate under that name as does their credit card account (the restaurant name on the credit card receipt reads Vespa). The $75 gift certificate was a negligible amount on the total bill of $240.50. Obviously, there is duplicity involved and I expect remuneration to mitigate this situation.Desired Settlement: Although I feel cheated out of the $75, I am not interested in a replacement gift certificate as I do not ever intend to dine there again. I would accept some kind of gift basket or other small token as compensation.
