Paint repairs have had to be re-done 4 times and this last repair the paint was scratched on areas from hood replacement, filled with unmatched pain.
Original claim almost a year ago, December 26, 2017 was when the car was towed to Morgan's Body Shop.*** closed the claim in May of 2018, but we have since had re-do's on the paint job 4 times on the hood. The last re-do was about November 20, 2018 because there was trash in the paint from a previous re-paint. Two new areas were scratched related to the hood replacementfrom the 3rd re-do of which they said they would repair on the 4th repair on about November 20, 2018. This was brought to their attention and they stated that it would be fixed, a gentlemen there told me that it was from the hood replacement. The hood was repaired correctly, but they filled in the new scratched areas with paint that doesn't match and it wasn't buffed out leaving obvious deep scratched areas. We have pictures of every re-do, including the last scratched areas resulting from the hood being placed.

Desired Outcome

Repair on the newly damaged areas resulting from the hood replacement on the third re -paint and poorly attempted on the 4th re-paint. simply just want it done correctly and not have to continue with re-do's on the paint job. The scratched areas need to be paint matched and buffed to smooth out the deep scratches as they were resulting from the last time the hood was put back on.

The consumer is correct about having to re-do the hood of their vehicle. After the 3rd re-do we had our paint representative come out to take a look. We then discovered the paint was bad. The paint representative replaced the paint and the hood was then painted and done correctly. We, Steve and Lisa M, owners, were not aware the last go around that the scratches were just touched up instead of painted and fixed properly by our staff. The vehicle owner did however reach out to us last week to inform us of the problem. We have told him we will definitely fix this issue. We will also not release the car when fixed until the vehicle owners and ourselves look the car over for approval before leaving our shop.

It is unfortunate that the owners of Morgan's Body Shop were unaware of the last incident as I assumed that they were aware. Their response was more than adequate as Steve pledged to my husband to personally ensure this is corrected. We trust and are confident that he will follow through with that commitment and can look forward to a positive outcome.
