We spent $900 to have this company file for VA assistance for my father in law 17 months ago. They are very nice but get no results. My father in law passed away in December of 2019 and we are still getting the same response from them - to just keep waiting. I have reached out to them on many occasions and mostly get no response or just told to wait and call them back in 2 months if we don hear from the VA. They do not "follow up with the VA as promised"

I am writing this to thank you so much for all you have done on behalf of my self and my family for the care of Theresa soon after she entered Assisted Living. We were amazed and overjoyed to be able to move her. It's no wonder why we were referred to you.

We want to give you and your staff a sincere THANK YOU for all the help you gave my Dad in obtaining Aid & Assistance pension benefits from the VA. As a 94-year-old WW2 veteran who just lost his wife and needed to move back to Ohio from Florida, your kindness and follow-through in guiding us through the process was a great encouragement to him and us. We highly recommend your services to anyone needing to apply for VA benefits.

We thank your Dad for his service!

I'm concerned. My parents have paid $1,000 for services and this business seems suspicious to me. Giving one star now because I have to give a rating. They are asking for personal and financial information that seems questionable. I will be sharing our feedback about our experiences here as things unfold. I hope I can give the high praise (and 4-5 stars) that "Jenna M", "Doug B" and "Greg H" have given and not add to the 3 serious complaints I've also read on this site.

We have been working closely with these clients since March. This has been a difficult case for many reasons. We hit a major roadblock and offered a refund since we thought would not be able to move forward with the claim (which is our policy). We offered a couple more last suggestions to try to move forward and actually thought we may be able to do so. We have since determined that we are unable to proceed and let them know we would be issuing a refund. They were very happy and thankful for our effort.

Great news! Thanks for trying to help and for issuing the refund.

Without Vet Support Group I'm not sure what the outcome would be for my parents. Now they have the assistance they need to be safe.

My family and I cannot be more grateful to Vet Support Group. My parents were in desperate need of assistance and had been deterred, denied and disappointed by our year+ efforts in trying to secure Veteran benefits. We decided to give it one more try when we were given Vet Support Groups information. They were wonderful to work with, and guided us through the process with great patience, efficiency and compassion. MOST IMPORTANTLY, my parents now have the benefits they needed to stay in their Assisted Living Facility. I THANK THEM and would highly recommend their services!!!

Thank you,we were happy to help, and glad to hear your parents are doing well.

Promised VA benefits quickly and they would handle all the paper work and if denied we would get a refund of our money $1300.00.
We paid VET Support Group LLC $1300 in Sept 2018 to apply for VA benefits for my 89 year father a veteran of the Korean War. The sales person Cathy G. told my father that she had 20 years experience in filling for VA benefits and said that he would have benefits within 3 to 6 months and if denied they would refund his money. My father passed away on 11/21/18 when we called for his refund they said NO! If he would have lived he would have gotten the benefits. When we pushed the issue they said that they could get benefits for my mother so we gave them the additional information they asked for in December 2018. In May 2019 we got a letter from the Department of Veterans Affairs asking for all the information and documentation that we already submitted to VET Support Group when we called VET Support Group they said that my mother was not eligible for benefits because of the assets and life insurance she was left when my father passed. We asked again for a refund and they said NO! In July 2019 we got another letter from the VA stating that benefits were denied because they did not receive the information that was requested. We paid VET Support Group $1300 and trusted their 20 years of experience in dealing with VA benefits and the filing process yet they could not even complete the filing process.

Desired Outcome

We want a refund because they could not deliver what was promised.

We did complete our services for this client. We gathered information, consulted and advised on the benefits available to them. They signed the agreement which details our refund policy. We then moved forward with collecting data and completing the claim. We were sad to hear that the veteran had passed after we had processed the claim, it would have been a successful claim. We then offered to help them with a claim for the veteran's spouse, however she is not eligible. Due to the circumstances, we decided to offer them a full refund. We confirmed the mailing address with the client.

The people at Vet Support helped us with our mother who needed care. They showed us all the options, home health care seemed the best. We had no idea where to start or even is she was qualified. They were friendly and responded to all our questions.

Paid 895 on July 18, 2018 to get Vet Support Group to help my mom, 88, with Alzheimers to get Veterans benefits. Claim was they could do it in 1 yr.
***, 88 years old, with Alzheimer's is entitled to Veterans Benefits. We found brochures at the nursing home mom was at during rehab for a broken hip. The nursing home really pushed these guys cards and brochures. So I paid the money and was told we qualified, and that they could get my mom's benefits in less time, less than a year. We filled in all the paperwork, mailed, faxed, emailed everything in and waited. We got more paperwork, my brother filled it in this time, got the run around, received no help in 1 year, and they keep asking for the same information, now they are asking for PIN no., passwords to access accounts. 2 people in Vet. Support group are KNOWN felons, with a history of swindling. Claims have been filed against them. The contract we had with them was they were to file our paperwork, and get us our Veterans Benefits in 1 year. Instead, they have been rude, and when asked for the money back, they refused. They have account numbers and everything. I feel very vulnerable, and hope you can get them to give back our money. They really need to be put out of business. Goodness knows how many people have given money, only to wait and never get any benefits.

Desired Outcome

They didn't come through with their promise, of getting my mom's benefits in 1 year or less, they keep saying we have to give information, and now they want pin numbers and passwords. We have a right to get our money back. They didn't do what they promised, and they look to be dishonest people. They need to be put out of business. People swindling Veterans need to be stopped. It doesn't look like anyone cares about the Veterans at all.

We help 200+ Veteran families each year learn about, prepare for and obtain the Aid and Attendance Benefit. After we determine that a successful claim can be filed, there is a lot of information required to be gathered and steps to be taken in addition to countless forms that need filling out and signatures by various parties. In almost all cases, clients are more than willing to expedite their part of the process since they are in need of the dollars provided by the benefit to help pay for their long term care needs. In this case the client has been VERY uncooperative. They insisted on using their own attorney for certain legal documents needed which delayed the process several months alone. They have changed the contact person several times over the last year, we have had to send document/signature requests to different siblings over the course of this case. We are simply waiting for a couple more items and this case can be finalized. With responsive clients, our cases are generally concluded within 10 to 12 weeks. The extended length of this one case is not our fault.

I, *** filled in all necessary paperwork, then my brother *** refilled same paperwork, and then recently they wanted my MOM to sign when she's been documented as not able to be sign and these people are insisting she sign, and want pin numbers and account Numbers, passwords. I filed paperwork now on my own with the REAL Vet. Administration, and None of this paperwork was required. I just want my money back.

So long as they send back the money we paid for, I have no problem with this. My brother did get a call from them. He said it was rather heated, this company needs to be overseen. The Veterans of this country deserve better than what this company supplies. Veterans, after all they have done for this country, the last thing they need is to have to fight them too to get their benefits. There are a lot of volunteers doing this same work, no charge, and they are helping my 88 year old mother to get her benefits.

Vet Support Center Response • Aug 09, 2019

After reviewing the client's file, we have deemed them non-compliant. They are unwilling to cooperate and refuse to return the requested final paperwork. In addition, we feel the legal documents that the client insisted upon doing themselves may be unacceptable to the VA resulting in an unsuccessful claim. Since we are not moving forward with this case, it is our policy to issue a full refund. We spoke with a family member to confirm the address so we can send a check.

My dad fought in WW2 and I was looking for cost of living benefits for my mom. A friend mentioned Aid and Attendance benefits. I looked contacted someone from vetsupportgroup.com. The lady I spoke with said my mom would receive $15,000 in living expenses but first I would need to pay $1200 to fill out the application. I did not realize Veterans families are not supposed to be charged in order to receive help.

Desired Outcome

Billing Adjustment I would like my money back and this group of people to be shut down.

Customer Response • May 21, 2019

Pay Pal was able to reverse the transaction. However, this is scam. It just seems like something could be done to 'shut down' a business that's isn't legitimate.
