Took our 11 yr old dog here on a Sun evening for recurring UTI. In the first 20 minutes, they took her to get weight and temp. Was told there were two ahead of us and it would be a while. In the meantime 3 other cases came in after us, were seen and left along with the other two in front of us. No one came out to offer an explanation for the delay. So, after 2 1/2 hrs we left and they didn't care in the least. Never going back and will not recommend to anyone!

Review: While out of town my daughter took my dog to the vet and long story short they were to contact me in regards to the proper dose and administration of medicine for his continued IMHA.

After processing the credit card and getting paid they never called back and the dog now has no medication, they are responsible for any additional issues, they also double charged me for the testingDesired Settlement: They need to address their shortcomings by getting my dog on the proper medication dose and schedule.

They need to stop trying to hold my dogs health for ransom so they can force me to constantly pay for testing that is not need and provide long term prescriptions and refills as mandated for maintenance medications

VSEC has reviewed the client’s concerns and comments and has spoken to the client personally.

We understand that the client was unhappy with his experience through our emergency service on November 21st. We acknowledge that our financial department mistakenly double charged him for a test which the client noticed while checking out. We are very sorry for this mistake and it was not intentional. We immediately removed the charge from the invoice when it was pointed out and we are glad that we were able to resolve this problem before the client left our practice that day. In addition, we apologize for our internal communication breakdown that resulted in the lack of follow-up from our internal medicine doctor about the patient’s medication dosing. Upon recognition of this, our doctor immediately called the client and resolved the medical issue to the client’s satisfaction.

VSEC is a collaborative environment and we have multiple services that work together to provide the best medical care for our patients. Our specialists see patients by appointments or by consultation through our emergency service when warranted. When the patient was brought into our hospital for a walk-in emergency issue, our emergency & critical care specialist consulted with the internal medicine doctor and discussed the medications. Additionally, our emergency doctor immediately consulted with the actual surgeon who had operated on the patient’s leg in 2011. The patient was lame on the same leg and the surgeon reviewed radiographs, made an assessment and treatment recommendation. This was all noted in the patient’s medical record for that day and given to the owner’s daughter before she left the hospital.

We appreciate the client sharing this feedback about VSEC with us and are glad that he is happy with our internal medicine doctor’s continued care of his pet who has been a patient of VSEC’s since 2010. This client has sought out care from VSEC for his pet for over 3 years from multiple difference services. The issues stated in the complaint about medication and the invoice for that visit have been resolved. We take this feedback very seriously and will internally address our relevant employees to ensure this doesn’t happen again.
