him by myself and I am the hospital manager and co-owner of the practiceHis vet provided records over the weekend prior to surgery
As you will see the patient/client information form clearly indicates that ALL animals must be spayed/neutered to receive surgery with *** *** and this form was signed by *** ***The 2nd form that he refers to in his complaint which "tricked" him into agreeing to neuter his dog was in fact the consent for surgery/sedation that all clients are asked to read over and initial above the admitting technician's initials indicating that they have read and understand the risk of sedation
During the check out process *** *** was given the discharge instructions for his dog's after care, explained the procedures and medications that would need to be given and scheduled for a follow up visit days after surgery
At no time during our initial phone calls, check in and check out for surgery did *** *** voice any concerns or objections to *** *** requirement for neuteringIt was only after he had returned home with *** that he first called the clinic to speak with one of our technicians over a few concerns he had with regard to how *** was feeling after the anesthesia which was taken by Kickie Morris*** *** was told that he was nervous after taking care of *** the first night, he could always elect to have him monitored by an after hours emergency clinic
A second call was made to our clinic by *** *** who spoke to *** ***, demanding to know why her dog had been neutered and using profanity*** explained to *** *** that her husband has signed all the paperwork that morning giving his consent to the surgeryWhen *** *** continued to use profanity with my employee, I instructed *** to hand up the phone as I will not accept that behavior being directed towards one of my employees
