I am writing this letter in response to a complaint you received about our company on 10/10/15. Our company has been in business since 1989 and I have been the oWner since 1994. in looking back through our records and to the best of my meriory this is the first and only complaint we have had filed...

against us. I feel this I a result of the high quality of service we provide and our desire to satisfy our customers. In response to the complaint filed, we submit the following response. We were called out to the customer's home on 1/15/15 to replace flirts on her treadmill. At this time she mentioned that she had had service on heir unit done prior to our visit. When our tech proceeded to unplug the power co.dfrom the unit the ground part of the plug fell off. He stated to the customer at the time, that she could use the unit without any damage to it until the cord was replaced and that is should be unplugged when not in use. Not knowing whether the prong (cord ground) had been broken off y someone else prior to our visit or not, we replaced it at no charge. (Travel, lab r and the cost of the cord) In talking to our tech, he honestly felt it had been broken prior to our visit. In regards to the plastic tray which fits on the back of the unit, it did have a crack in it. The crack was not visible nor did the crack impair its use. We c lied the manufacturer and they stated it was no longer available because of the unit's age. We removed the tray at our expense, took it to our shop, repaired, returned and reinstalled at no cost.At the time these items were replaced they both met the customer's satisfaction. On 9/24/15 we went back out to the customer's house at her request to address a clicking noise with her unit. She stated she had not used it much over the past 6 months or more because she had had foot surgery. Our tech went out to her home and lubed the deck at her request and adjusted the walking belt which was now out of alignment. When we billed the customer for the visit she indicated she was not oing to pay for the visit or the lube. Her comment was that the belt and deck should have been lubed wHen it was replaced in January. I reported to her that the deck comes lubed from the manufacturer Ind should not be lubed when it is installed. The time for lubing is dependent or1 the customer's use. As far as the belt adjustment is concerned this also depends on the customer's use. As stated by the customer she had surgery done on her foot. During rehab it is not uncommon for a person to favor one limb over the other until pull strength returns. Favoring a leg or foot by the customer could force the walking belt to one side or the other. This would require the unit to need adjustment. Reigardless, her unit needed to be adjusted. With regards to the customer's claim that I was unkind and combatiNI e, I strongly disagree. She chose to call me at times that would not be considered normal business hours. —late at night 10:23 P.M., Saturday afternoon when I was in attendance at a football game, in the middle of evening when I was in a meeting, etc.--- When I tried to explain to her where I was and why I couldn't talk sI4 continued on (I never hung up on her and was very patient). In conclusion, I feel this customer has unfairly represented our compiany and its service. Most service companies warranty their work for 60 — 90 days. This customer expects that we should come out S — 9 months later to wo k on her unit when we have no way of knowing if and how the unit was used.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Regards,
[redacted] I do not accept the response because it is not truthful. The first repair  employee of Vetter broke the cord in front of me and said I did not really need the grounding part of the plug. I called the manufacturer and they advised me that I did need it and should encourage Vetter to fix it. That same employee put the treadmill down on the tray and that cracked the tray. My treadmill was always kept in perfect condition. No one had worked on it for many years since the last need for service. These statements are not true. And I did not have an uneven gait due to the surgery and that caused the treadmill to malfunction. I did not use the treadmill for many months due to the surgery. In the past when the treadmill has been serviced repairs have lasted many years not merely a few months. This is not an honorable company. I do not care how long it has been in business. Also the owner rarely called me back. That last conversation was in the afternoon on Saturday and he agreed to call me the next Monday and never called me. It is a month later. I am going to have to have the treadmill serviced by someone who can actually service it. This is getting quite costly. Also I refuse to pay the additional service call because the lubrication was not the problem. The belt has slipped to the left side and it is making a noise that is a sign that it was not serviced correctly originally. (January 2015).
