VI Hazmat & Demolition Reviews (%countItem)

Was charged for services we never requested or wanted. Have already paid $*** towards $*** business says we still owe. We were charged $*** ea. for 5 blowers for 5 days and $*** for 1 dehumidifier over 5 days when we never asked for and told worker didn't want equipment as had my own. Anyone would assume equipment would be part of job price not charged separately. Have already paid $*** (broken down as follows $*** for work/$ for 3 days for dehumidifier & *** for 3-5 blowers for 3 days as took part of responsibility for the fact we should have have got quote. Based on this believe $*** more then fair in the circumstances. Business never gave us quote for any of the work and certainly didn't mention would be charged separately for equipment (which cost more then job!) Feel we were taken advantage of and should not be required to pay remaining balance of $

Our crew went out to *** and did the following

1. Moved contents, located water entry, decontaminated the crawl space due to rodents and removed the cabinets--TOTAL COST $***

2. We advised the client that we needed to install drying equipment (air movers and a dehumidifier) which is standard equipment used on all water damages by all Restoration Companies. *** did mentioned she had some 'heaters' we could use, but we explained to her that we could not use HEATERS, as that adds too much moisture to the area, but we needed commercial air movers and [1] commercial dehumidifier (which is equipment required by all Insurance Companies to prevent mould growth) She agreed, and we installed the equipment- TOTAL COST$***

The equipment stayed onsite for [5] days (If Pam did not want equipment, why did she not call us the first night to pick up?) We picked up equipment after 5 days and invoiced the client for work done.

Drying Equipment is charged on a daily rate, per item--

Air movers $/Day/Air mover

Dehums $/Day/Dehum

At the time of the invoice, we offered the client a $*** discount (which equalled out to [2] days of FREE drying)

Client paid a portion of the invoice $*** and balance remaining is $*** (as of today)

Last Friday a letter was mailed to client, advising her that a Lien was being placed on this property, and we would be asking our Lawyer to proceed with Small Claims if $*** is not received by closing on Friday May 17, 2019. To date, we have not received correspondence back regarding this. If we proceed to Small Claims Court, we will not be offering the $*** discount, and we will be including all additional fees: lien charges, filing fees, serving fees, lawyer and court costs.
