First, the complaint is dated January 2015. We have never heard from this homeowner and have had no information about any problems related to dryer vents/hornets, etc. On May 15, 2015 we got an email from the property manager, Sandra [redacted] asking us to check the balcony at [redacted] because of...
water coming in and out of the home. We had the supervisor working on the renovation project meet at the unit and he determined that the leak was caused by the balcony door jamb which is rotted and found the threshold deteriorated. This was causing the leak. This is the owners responsibility and not the managements. The owner had applied a latex caulking to the rotted door jamb. We told the manager that as a courtesy we'd seal the siding where it meet's the concrete during our punch process, at no cost. We are still planning on doing this. Attached, please find this email correspondence. Again, this is the only information we have ever received related to this unit. As for notification problems, the management company and our company placed renovation notices on each door of every unit which included our phone number and contact information. We do not call each owner, we don't have any of their information when starting a rehab. We do invite them to call us if they have any questions or concerns in these notices.
