I am rejecting this response because:
He states that the visit was unscheduled which has no bearing whatsoever on the issue at allBy the way, I called the dealer prior to bringing my car in to see if they could check it out. They said "yes"Of course I did sign a consent for analysis, this is the only way they would proceed. I was notified about the machine analysis HOWEVER, I would rightfully assume that any competent technician would consider the simple and more obvious reasons for the problem before they would go to the next and advanced step of the expensive machine analyzer.
I was unaware of the "manually on" switch which was unknowingly in the "on" position overnight. I mentioned to the dealer when I brought my car in that the lights were on all night as my original complaint verifies. The "knowledgeable" technician should have known this was the reason my battery was discharged. In the dealer's response, the technician acknowledged that he knew about the function of this switch. I receive periodic service advertisements form General Motors emphasizing their "knowledgeable" techniciansI resent the fact that the dealer's representative said that I became belligerentI became very frustrated with the unprofessional and meaningless way he was trying to excuse the dealership of any responsibility for their ineptness in recognizing the obvious reason why by battery was discharged and I challenge him by phone recording to prove that I said he "stole" my moneyIncidentally, the battery that he said was bad is still starting my car just fine and this is some day later, so it appears that the battery check here was more accurate than Victory's The dealership should refund their unnecessary charge or remove their sign touting their quality service where the "customer always wins". Maybe there is a reason why they are not accredited by Revdex.com

Victory Motors does not believe a refund is warranted in this caseThe customer brought his vehicle in unscheduled, and the dealership advised the customer of the associated feesWhen the customer brought the vehicle in, the complaint was that when you turn the vehicle off the lights remain
on and that it has killed the batteryThe service advisor advised the customer that there would be a $diagnostic fee associated with the visit, unless covered under warrantyThe customer understood, agreed to, and authorized the fee via signature(See Attachment) The service advisor assigned the vehicle and concerns to a certified technicianUpon further diagnosis of the vehicle, the technician noticed that the customer had placed the light switch into the manual "ON" positionThe diagnostics on the battery resulted in a recommendation to replace the batteryOur system not only tests the charge of a battery, as well as testing the cells of the battery(See Attachment) The customer declined the repairs and left the facilitiesAfter a few days, the customer called the dealership and requested a refund due to the fact that he had an independent shop test the batteryI advised the customer that we have a more comprehensive testing unit then most shops that checks more than just the chargeThe customer became belligerent throughout the conversation and stated that we stole his moneyI have attached the documentation in which the customer authorized the fee, as well as a printout from our battery testerAs I told the customer, we are just like any other facility in which if we perform work or diagnose a problem, we have fees associated with those servicesI don't believe that it is a viable option for a customer to go to a physicians office and not pay due to the fact that they don't care for the diagnosisThis is the same exact situation and does not warrant a refund

I am rejecting this response because: I took my car in to a GMC dealer believing that their trained mechanic would (from his training and experience) consider the most obvious reason for the discharged battery prior to calling for a machine analysis. The mechanic stated that the manual light switch was left on. This was the obvious and readily observable reason for the discharged battery. Therefore, further analysis was unnecessary.

The rejection to our response, does not provide any supporting documentation or further facts to support the demand for a refund . The customer clearly states that they authorized the diagnosis fee. Our company has provided documentation to support our stance, and we believe this is enough to satisfy this complaint. We do not believe slander, defamation, or threats are grounds for refunds and this case should be closed on the grounds that the dealership performed an agreed upon service at an agreed upon rate.
