Victory Chevrolet of Smithville Reviews (%countItem)

I went in the office to talk about a vehicle I was interested in. They asked me how much I owed on my current car (for trade in purposes), but I didn't know the exact amount but was within $2000.00. So they tried looking it up and found it. I don't know why they needed an exact amount because we couldn't agree on a trade in price nor the amount they wanted to sell the car for. But we talked and tried to agree on a price for trade in. The salesman asked me to initial this paper that he was writing what I wanted for trade and that if he could get me that amount that I would buy the car for the price they went down to. So I initialed the paper. He came back and told me that they couldn't give me what I wanted for my car. So we pretty much shook hands and left. I get a letter in the mail about 35 days later stating that I wasn't approved for their auto financing loan. I never applied for anything yet. I never signed papers for anything yet. They NEVER asked me or told me they were going to run my credit. If they had, I would have told them no, not until we agreed on a price and I WAS BUYING IT! So they went behind my back and didn't even tell me. That can hurt my credit if I went to every dealership and had my credit ran. They had no right to do that! And I have called them and asked them about this. They were supposed to call me about a resolution but haven't yet and it's been 2 weeks.

Victory Chevrolet in Smithville,Mo has had my 2011 GMC Yukon Denali for 4 months. I have an extended warranty through GWC with a $100 deductible. I brought my vehicle to their service department after calling several dealerships because they had free loaner truck's available for me to use while mine was in their shop and I had to have a truck to pull my enclosed work trailer everyday. First thing they do is tell me that the engine is not knocking but I need new ball joints and water pump. So I tell them that it is knocking, I know this because I drive it everyday and I have been a mechanic for 15 years, so I know what a knocking engine sounds like. Next thing they do is call me to say that the technician has removed the oil pan and there was no signs of metal and I could come in and see for myself. So I did, I asked to borrow the technician flashlight, shined it into the oil left in the pan and it was full of metal shavings. I said "you don't see all that metal?" He said "oh I just meant I didn't see any big pieces". I was already frustrated with this technicians ability when they told me that he couldn't hear any knocking. With all of my years experience working on vehicles and building engines. I asked them to plasti gauge the bearings, which is the way you measure the clearance between the rod bearing and crankshaft. That is how you know which rods are loose and knocking. The next time they had me come in to bring the loaner truck back and talk about my Yukon. The service writer "*** " that I have been dealing with told me that they did plati gauge the bearings and they were all within spec. He then had me go talk to the service Manager "***" who told me that they did not check the bearings and my knocking sound was coming from "piston slap" which is normal wear and tear. So "***" straight lied to my face and "***" was trying to give me some bs excuse. I said piston slap comes from a cylinder being too big for the piston to stay tight. That is not normal wear and tear on an engine with 140k miles. Maybe a diesel with 1 million miles but not 140k unless there is a major problem with something eating away the cylinder walls. So now the service manager knows that I am not one that he can feed a bs story to like other customers that are not master mechanics. I told the service Manager that I just wanted my Yukon back and if he needed me to I would come in there and plastigage the bearings myself. So they would know. What the problem was with the engine? He said that we could probably set that up some morning But I never heard from him. At that time they took away the truck That they loaned me. And told me they had no other trucks at that time. I said the reason I brought my vehicle here is because You guys would provide me with a loaner truck so I could work everyday. They did not want to give me any vehicle to drive But he talked to the owner. And they loaned me a Chevy Equinox that I could not use for work Because it has no tow package to pull my trailer. They told me they would call me as soon as they got a truck in. But that was also another lie. 3 weeks later Still no truck. And they want me to bring back the Equinox to not loan me another vehicle. The service writer called me yesterday to tell me that I needed to pay $1600 to get my truck back or pay $2500 to get it back in the same condition. This is on top of the $5400 my warranty has agreed to pay. I never agreed to paying anything beyond my $100 deductible. On top of all that the quote is for a crankshaft and main bearings. Which I am 100% positive. Will not fix the problem with my engine. And the quote is totally off. Which means they will be wanting even more money out of me Beyond the 1600 that they already want. The engine will need to be fully disassembled. The rods that were knocking are not able to be reused. The heads have to come off. When I brought the truck in there, they told me that they do not rebuild engines. They only replace them. But now They think they are engine builders And want to waste a bunch of time and money trying to rebuild my engine improperly. And I can see this going on forever. All I want is my vehicle put back together the way it was so I can take it to a shop that has qualified technicians. I could not even find. Victory Chevrolet listed in the Revdex.com for Smithville. This letter is going to be sent to the ***, the Revdex.com, *** And any other place I can find
