Victory Home Services Reviews (1)

Mr. Hancock fired his team while doing work on my home. Work was bid to take less than two weeks and ended up taking over a month to complete with only Mr. Hancock and his wife on hand. During that time I had grown tired of the delays and often asked when new staff would be brought on to complete the work? I received excuses ranging from, "I vet all my employees, I don't just hire people off the street", to, "my OCD gets the best of me".

The tile work that was done was one issue after another and often Mr. Hancock would put the blame on my wife and I for using slate when he bid tile. He never showed up at his preferred vendor to go over the items we choose. Turns out he did not know or understand the products and there was a reaction between the slate, grout and sealant that further caused delays. I spoke with the vendor's senior managers and obtained a partial refund. Mr. Hancock likes to take credit for obtaining the refund but it was not his doing. I obtained the refund agreement days before he contacted the vendor.

During the time of the tile/slate work, Mr. Hancock was literally packing up to flee the site and had I not come home early he would have been gone. He was flustered and stating he does not deal well with people like me. Reality is, he was so far behind I was on him to get the job done.

He belongs to a group called Business Network International. They meet on Wednesdays and instead of working my job he would go to the meetings of which those days had some of the best weather to actually catch up. I called him a few days prior to his flee attempt and said he should come out on a Saturday and stop delaying the work. That is why he was flustered and getting ready to run. In the end, he agreed to finish the job and we had started to form a good relationship so much so, my wife and I invited his family to our annual holiday party. I began to trust him at this stage and recommended him to my neighbor, to this day I regret ever doing so; for they too had to deal with delays and excuses. It was not until April of 2015 nearly six months after he installed a door for them that he went back and corrected an issue they had. Winter was over, the desire was to have it repaired prior to then.

At the time of tile completion, the seal had not taken well. Mr. Hancock agreed to re-seal the slate when he completed the front portion of our home of which never got started, he got so far behind he had to delay this phase until spring of 2015. I agreed to pay for the second coat of sealant materials and Victory Home Services agreed to provide the labor. On 30 April 2015, that agreement was terminated by Mr. Hancock stating we never had a contract. We did, it was called his word of which I trusted based on the growth of a friendship. The reason he rescinded is he also installed Screen Tight on our enclosure. The slats were pulling off, and I had informed him of that in March. During this time I found my neighbor's issues had not been resolved (as mentioned above) so I contacted a member of the Business Network International and asked, "is this they type of people you let in your organization"? Within a week my neighbor's issue was resolved. Mr. Hancock did not even bother to walk across the street to assess the required repair for work done on my home. He did contact me after I made the call to the Business Network International member but two weeks later nothing done, just an excuse it rained and his trailer broke. We had a wet spring but there were several days where it was simple overcast. After contacting one of the Business Network International members again, I receive a ranting phone call from Mr. Hancock on 29 April. At that time I told him fix or pay me to have someone else do it. On 30 April, he pulled the sealant offer and only agreed to fix the slats and screen. He broke his word, he failed to own the issue. I'm not confident he will show up at all
