Spoke to Adam and Jaime at Victory Motors about 2012 *** (***). Informed them I was from MN and would be flying in to view car and take possession. That this would include necessary expenses (flight, transport, etc)and needed to know specific details before embarking - also asked for highres pics of scratches or dings. They required $500 down to hold car. They assured me: 1) Car had never been in an accident. 2) Car was in perfect running order. 3) They would send pics, but car was perfect, no scratches and nothing to show.
Flew out there to find out. 1) Car was in at least 2 accidents (evident b/c bad repairs). 2) significant 4" long ding present but poorly painted over. 3) Bad paint on side mirrors and other parts of car. 4) Engine runs very poorly (misfire cylinder). 5) Bad battery. 6) lots of minor issues (like windows switches popping out). 7) Aftermarket, obnoxiously loud muffler. Adam suggested they rely on *** which did not report accidents (BS as poor repairs are evident - also auction report shows 2 repairs).
I had no recourse but to fly back to MN. Whole venture was unpleasant, waste of time and expensive.
Adam and Victory Motors refused to refund $500 I had paid as downpayment to hold vehicle.
Victory Motors has refunded the deposit on 07/02/2019. See attached receipt. Adam has never refused to refund the $500 to the client; instead I informed the client that our deposits are non-refundable so that we need to get a confirmation from GM to refund deposit. The following day we received a confirmation from General Manager and I personally spoke to the client and took credit card number to refund the deposit.

More, Virginia law states car dealer cannot lie when asked about a cars accident history. Victory Motors likes to hide behind the '***', but they fail to mention auction report given to them before they purchased at auction listed accident history.So, while I was able to dispute the down payment, I am still out more than $800. Victory Motors has not offered any kind of recompense for this.-
