The response is accurate & truthful, however my complaint remainsI feel a partial payment was made towards a purchase that did not ultimately take place and that a refund is a reasonable requestThe salespeople were pleasant to deal with throughout the entire situation but I found the general manager condescending in our conversationBy refusing to refund my payment, which could have resulted in a return visit to purchase a car at a later date, he essentially held my money [redacted] unless I bought a car from them [redacted]

agreement based on agreed trade in of $[redacted] which was what she suggested. Subsequently she reneged on the deal and I believe purchased elsewhere. Our policy is to keep partial payments where customer does not complete purchase unless there are unusual circumstances. In this case she either changed her mind or purchased elsewhere. We would however apply her $[redacted] to future vehicle purchase from us if done within 90 days from original agreement.

I have reviewed to complaint and unfortunately cannot agree with the complainants position. The vehicle was sold with an extended warranty which only covered up to a maximum of $3000 per claim and unfortunately the...

repair exceeded this by $607.32. The problem was a crack in the engine block which may have been caused by overheating. This was not an issue at time of sale engine had been checked and ran fine for the approximate 6 months customer had vehicle. Customer was not able to come up with the $607.32 so we reduced the amount to $500 and arranged a $500 0% interest loan. When she claimed we had damaged her vehicle all security cameras were reviewed and we determined the vehicle had not been damaged while in our possession. It had been parked in one area in fenced compound except when in our shop for the actual repairs. Damage was small and could have happened anywhere and not been noticed for some time. As a gesture of goodwill we would be pleased to offer Ms. [redacted] the next 2 oil and filter changes at no charge. Attached is a copy of the work order on which the repairs were done.

Ms. [redacted] purchased a [redacted] from our dealership on [redacted] of [redacted]. The purchase agreement she signed at the time showed $[redacted] for the supply and installation of an LED light which we ordered and received. When she arrived for the...

installation she was not satisfied with the accessory and we contacted Mitsubishi Motors to inquire if what she described was available. It was only available as an accessory installed by [redacted] and then could not be operated the way she wanted. We offered to order the parts in separately to meet the description of what she showed us but could not make it operate in the manner she wanted. As a goodwill gesture we offered to not only refund the $[redacted] she had paid on the purchase agreement but the $[redacted] she suggested was the price. A release was made and sent to her to execute before we issued the check. She was not satisfied with this [redacted]. We are not changing our position on the offer of $[redacted] cash settlement all inclusive and in fact if this is not accepted by the end of this month and the release executed we will withdraw the offer.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 17, 2015/10/14) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
The company's reply lacks truth about the transaction and what was told to me about the LED kit when purchased with my vehicle. I would not have paid even $[redacted] as they suggest letalone the $[redacted] I did for what they presented to me, nor did their own salesman agree it was what he promised when it was shown to him at that time.
In any case, I will accept the offer of $[redacted], what I paid less the taxes. I have been advised it's better to recoup some of the monies than lose it all. [redacted]

customer had an engine problem around [redacted] and dealership applied to Mitsubishi Motors to authorize repair hoverer they checked the computer records in vehicle and determined the engine had been abused and failed due to exceeding the...

maximum RPM's and denied coverage. Dealership quoted repair on cash basis and did work for $[redacted]. kilometers at time were [redacted]. On [redacted] the vehicle was brought to dealership with ticking noise in engine with approximately [redacted] kilometers on odometer. Dealership diagnosed as bearing in block and applied to [redacted] for authorization to repair. Initially they declined due to the initial abuse but after some negotiations between dealership and [redacted] we managed to have them cover the work. They supplied a new short block which is expected this week and will be installed as soon as it arrives. They will not cover any other issues with the engine head so customer may have a portion of the repair to pay however dealership will try to cover as much as possible on goodwill basis. We have no record of any third party warranties from date of sale but in any case they would not cover if [redacted] declined due to abuse. [redacted] will not cover any alternative transportation or consider and financing costs.
