I have reviewed this complaint and will explain our side of the storyOn February 7th *** *** did purchase a car from usThe car went through a very thorough inspection process that has minimized our complaints or problems to
near 0%Anytime we do have a concern about a "used car" times out of we either fix or have the car fixed for them (depending on the problem) This car was inspected by Victory, ***, and her step father and was deemed good condition free and clear of any problemsAfter a month had gone by *** came to the lot addressing a problem, we then send the car to a very good diagnostic mechanicHe informs us that a small coolant leak had been neglected until the car ran out of coolant causing the car to overheatThis is a problem that is easily corrected, $for a hose and clamp would have been sufficientInstead the car was neglected and was then overheatedNot just overheated but stayed overheating until the head gasket blew causing coolant to mix with the oil rendering the car basically useless*** was a first time buyer with a very low credit score, one of our finance companies was willing to take on the risk of the financing but they needed $down which was what qualified her and the deal was doneAs a first time buyer and a young person with little experience in cars *** was not informed correctly on how to maintain cars and what to do when caution signs are arisingI would have been more than happy to travel out to where she was given she had pulled over right when temperature gauge was climbing and fixed the car for herEven after the neglect I am still not only willing to have the car correctly fixed at dealer cost but was still willing to pay for half of the repair costs, which had been left out of her complaintI have told the mechanic to proceed with fixing the car and it will be available for her to pick up for $which is way more than fair due to the responsibility of maintaining a car is the customers responsibility not the dealers a month after purchaseThis money equals $down and a cheap $on repairs that are $at a repair shopI don't feel as if there is anything else I can do, We have already lost money on the deal fronting this cost to help our customer
