The cabinet drawings for this job showed the window a little different than usual, thus my installer
misread them and installed the upper cabinets too close to the window. When the owner came home and saw it he called me. I sent another install...

crew to his home the next day to move them, replace the backs that had been cut and add moldings over the screw boards that would now have extra holes in them. The owner refused to allow the installer to do the job, insisting that the screw boards and some of the faceframes must be replaced. I traveled to the job site (60 miles away)after work , retrieved the cabinets and replaced the backs, screw boards and faceframes as he requested. We had numerous phone calls to try to resolve the situation. He hung up on me in the middle of the conversation at least 6 times. Trust had been broken by this time. He insisted on being at the job site when I returned to install the cabinets.He was unwilling to take off work, so I took my new years holiday to travel and install to accommodate him. He was present the entire time that I installed. He was satisfied with the installation, but refused to pay at the time.
He wanted more time to inspect. A week later I received payment for the cabinets.Apparently we had passed the inspections. Approximately 1 week after that he called to complain again. He said that the cabinets were not 3" away from the window as planned. I responded that I knew that. They were 2 7/8" away from each side of the window.
That was what was needed to make things line up and keep the sink centered. This was well within tolerances. He responded that the sink was now off centereven though it was good when we left.
I offered to come and check it out, but he refused to allow me back. He said that I was incapable of getting it right and they he would do it himself.
I do not like leaving things unresolved, but he is not seeking a solution. He thinks that by complaining loudly he will get a discount

The problems started cause the owner and his employees did not follow the drawing with the measurements that was made and that I agreed to! They installed the first time very wrong! The second time after bringing them back one of them still had a hole in the back that should have been fixed. I let them install it & I fixed it cause I was tried of dealing with the issue. He did come on 1/1/17 as he offered to come that day to install them. Some lies are being told by him as far as payment, a check was wrote an mailed 1/3/17.Also as far as when I found they were not installed right the second time was on 1/5/17 something caught my eye that did not look right got tape measure out and found 2&7/8" on one side of window & 2&3/8/ on other side after further measuring found sink cabinet off to. Called [redacted] 1/5/17 & told him what I found that's when he OFFERED $300 IF I WOULD MOVE THEM MYSELF this was heard by my boy, wife & my self on speaker phone. Had counter tops coming the following Monday 1/9/17 so the cabinets had to be moved before that or the tops would not have fit right! By the way the tops fit ! Still need the molding to finish the cabinets that he was to furnish & the caulking and the refund he offered. Should have stopped payment on check for the second time instead of taking he word!! You bet I will complain loud to everybody so they will not get ripped off by you!!! not being loud for any discount!
