Review: LG Plasma TV under warranty was to be repaired by Video Tech Service. Tech came out to repair, could not diagnose, sent for pickup to repair in shop.

Purchased unit from Sams Club Dec. 12 with extended warranty. Unit display stopped working properly 7/1/13. Called Sams,LG and Video Tech Service was second repair service to get called to repair unit in clients home. Could not even diagnose at home & arranged pick up for in shop repair warrantied by LG. While in shop since 7/3/2013 never called me to update on status. I called 7/9/2013 to ask on status.Told they waiting on Plasma Display Panel for our model 60pa6550.aus LG Plasma TV & once recieved, repaired would call to arrange delivery. Spouse set up delivery for 7/15/2013. Once delivered 7/15/13, process was not reviewed with client to overlook and test TV in home.Illegal photos taken by Video Tech Service of private residence without permission from homeowner during delivery 7/15/13. Bottom back panel of TV unit serverly dinged up, dented, sides chopped around corners with blunt cutting instrument, Glue left on front right corner, TV Cable not hooked up to test full display on in home delivery, Dirt left under display panel from Video Tech Service. Cannot put TV on stand due to bent metal all around bottom edges of TV. Very dirty screen.Delivery techs tried to "mount" TV on wall and I had to holler "No, it does not have the brackets on it." TV staff should know that as they were trying to hide the bottom of the TV from being seen by client. Upon calling Video Tech Service, staff hung up on us and yelled at us that the tv left their shop in pristine condition. Not true. My TV had not one single dent or ding before warranty service and now is dinged up, banged up, dirty under the display panel and is not in warranty condition hired to replace panel and NOT mess up the TV worse. Looks like a crowbar was used to mangle the bottom of the TV. Worst.Repair. Ever.Delivery Condition not relayed as testing was not done upon delivery, only turning on the LG Screen but no cable or PC hookup to test product. Was not told to review the product for condition and state of screen before delivery guys left.Called to resolve with Video Tech was hung up on several times and told they did not damage the unit. This shop should not have an A rating as they ruin warrantied product and are denying any fault.Purchased unit from Sams Club Dec. 12 with extended warranty. Working with LG to resolve Scam artists at Video Tech Service. [redacted] the owner not admitting fault by his shoddy business and told him complaint will be filed since he cannot own up to his horrid business practices of damaging high end electronics & taking illegal pictures of homeowner without permission. No process ever reviewed when delivered to client/homeowner. Very unprofessional and scam artists should NOT be in business especially as Video Tech Service does not even CARE to offer any resolve to client, they only yell and hang up on client further exacerbating another repair issue to fix damage done by VIDEO TECH SERVICE to the LG Plasma TV model serial number 210rmbwXXXXX. Worst business ever, they, Video Tech, never even verified my Sams Club purchase reciept as conveyed by Sams and LG during the warranty repair process. Desired Settlement: LG Electronics & [redacted] and [redacted] will set a settelment for this horrible repair & shady business practice.

TV WAS DELIVERED BACK TO CUSTOMER REPAIRED ON 7/15/13 APPROX 12 NOON. DELIVERY CREW BROUGHT TV INTO HOME SHOWED MRS. [redacted] THAT SCREEN LIGHTS UP NOW. MRS ARSTEN ASKED HER SON TO GET A BLANKET TO PUT ON FLOOR SO TV COULD BE PUT ON IT TIL THEY COULD MOUNT TV BACK ON WALL. THE SON AND ONE OF THE DELIVERY CREW SPREAD OUT THE BLANKET WHILE THE OTHER DELIVERY CREW PERSON AND MRS [redacted] SET THE TV ON THE BLANKET FACE DOWN. MRS [redacted] SIGNED THE PAPERWORK AND THE DELEVERY CREW LEFT THE HOME. 7/15/13 AT 3:55PM MR. [redacted] CALLED IN SPOKE TO [redacted] SAID WHEN HE WAS MOUNTING THE TV TO THE STAND HE NOTICED THAT THE BACK OF TV LOOKED LIKE SOMEONE TOOK A CROW BAR TO IT. [redacted] ASKED HIM WHY DIDN'T MRS. [redacted] POINT OUT THE DAMAGE TO DELIVERY CREW AT TIME OF DELIVERY, HE SAID SHE TOLD HIM SHE WAS LOOKING AT THE FRONT OF TV WHILE HOLDING SET UP. [redacted] TOLD MR.ARFSEN THAT SHE WOULD GET WITH THE OWNER AND DELIVERY CREW AND WE WOULD GET BACK WITH HIM TOMORROW. ABOUT A MINUTE LATER MRS. [redacted] CALLED IN WANTING TO SPEAK TO THE OWNER. [redacted] TOLD HER THE OWNER WAS NOT HERE AND THAT SHE JUST SPOKE TO MR. [redacted]. MRS. [redacted] SAID YOU GUYS DAMAGED MY SET AND WANT YOU TO REPLACE IT. [redacted] ASKED MRS [redacted] WHY DID YOU SIGN OFF ON THE PAPER WORK AT TIME OF DELIVERY IF TV WAS DAMAGED? SHE SAID THAT SHE WAS WAS LOOKING AT THE FRONT OF TV TO SEE IF IT WAS WORKING PROPERLY WHILE HOLDING ON TO ONE SIDE OF THE SET AND THAT IT WAS NOT CONVEYED TO HER THAT SHE HAD TO LOOK OVER THE WHOLE TV. [redacted] TOLD MRS. [redacted] THAT SHE ALREADY TOLD MR. [redacted] THAT WE WOULD CALL TOMORROW AFTER SPEAKING WITH OWNER AND DELIVERY CREW.

7/16/XX X:XXAM [redacted] THE OWNER CALLED AND LEFT MESSAGE AT XXX-XXX-XXXX TO CALL US BACK TO DISCUSS THE ISSUE WITH TV, AFTER REVIEWING PICTURES SENT TO US BY CUSTOMER OF THE DAMAGE. AT 8:50AM MR. [redacted] CALLED BACK AND SPOKE WITH [redacted] ABOUT THE DAMAGE. [redacted] SAID THAT HE SPOKE TO THE DELIVERY CREW ON THE DETAILS OF THE DELIVERY AND THAT EVERYTHING WENT SMOOTH AND THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO TV AFTER DELIVERY. MR.[redacted] INSISTED THAT THEY DIDN'T DAMAGE THEIR TV. [redacted] SAID THAT THE DAMAGE WAS VERY OBVIOUS AND WHY DIDN'T MRS. [redacted] SEE IT AFTER THEY LAID THE SET DOWN ON THE BLANKET FACE DOWN? MR. ARFTEN SAID HIS WIFE IS OBLIVIOUS TO THINGS AND WOULDN'T NOTICE A SNAKE IN THE ROOM. [redacted] TOLD MR. [redacted] THAT WE DIDN'T DAMAGE HIS SET AND IF WE DID WE WOULD HAVE TAKEN FULL RESPONSIBILITY. MR [redacted] SAID THAT HE WOULD PURSUE RESOLUTION WITH LG.
