Review: Mr Brooks from Viewpoint Tree Service provided tree service on my property which was satisfactory. However, while trying to get his truck through my fence gate, the truck got stuck. When he finally got his truck unstuck he hit my fence at the gate and did extensive damage. I waited one week for Mr Brooks to call me to acknowledge the damage yet he never called. When I called him about the situation and asked him how to correct the problem he advised me to see if I could get someone to fix it (I had someone coming out the next day to repair my fence from tree/wind damage occurred a month earlier). Mr Brooks said to have that company repair his damages and that he would "make things right with me". The repairs were completed by [redacted] in the amount of $370.64. When I advised Mr Brooks of the charges he said he would not pay more tha5 $100.00 and later he said he had someone review the charges and he was willing to pay $105.00. Mr Brooks agreed to "make things right with me" yet once I told him the price he refused to pay the total amount.Desired Settlement: I receive a check in the amount of $360.74 for the damages he caused.

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I have reviewed Mr Brooks response to my complaint and here are the truths. - Truth: The damage to my gate/fence was caused by his truck - Truth: Mr Brooks advised me to have it repaired and he "would make it right". - Truth: [redacted] & [redacted] Services repaired the damages. - Truth: I was provided an invoice by [redacted] in the amount of $360.74 which I have paid in full. - Truth: The invoice amount had NOTHING to do with the tree damage which was caused to my fence. The homeowners insurance covered that. - Truth: Viewpoint Tree Services owes me $360.74 to cover the damages they caused. - Truth: I will not accept any less. Regards,[redacted]

Response:

In reply to the customers rejection I have attached a picture of the fence the only new parts of the fence are, to the right one post, one top rail which are connected to the gate and one bag of quick crete. Everything else was re-used. Viewpoint has priced the labor and new supplies and come to the total as before stated. We do hope to come to a settlement but the asking of the customer is more then the damaged property. The offer is $105.00 to pay for the damages ( includes 2 hours of labor). We thank you for the business Randy Brooks Viewpoint Tree service

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. Thank you for your assistance in resolving this matter. Mr Brooks was eager to resolve this matter (Nov 9), so it seemed, however, he asked for a receipt which I provided. Then he asked if I would hold the check until Friday (Nov 15) before cashing, I agreed. Then he stated he needed an invoice which I provided. Then he needed an itemized invoice which I provided. When he finally showed up Monday evening (Nov 18) my last name was spelled incorrectly "[redacted]" instead of "[redacted]" and the amount was 3 cent less than the actual total due. I accepted the check and cashed it the next morning. Again, thank you for your assistance. [redacted]

I hired Viewpoint after watching the careful job they did with my neighbors two trees. My backyard is a flower garden, and I was nervous to let just anyone back there, but they did a marvelous job cutting down two very large trees without much maneuvering space. They carefully moved anything in harms way and left my garden in tact. I would highly recommend them.

[redacted] came to our property and gave an estimate that was in our price range, and also let us make 2 payments each month. They took down 2oak trees and 3 populars with a bucket truck, roping all limbs, crew was very safe and clean up was great .nothing for us to do but seed yard .

Review: Mr. [redacted] was at our home on 2/6/15 to cut down a tree, when he arrived he parked two trucks, one really big truck with a bucket lift on it. After cutting down the tree they cleaned up but the bucket truck got stuck, they left really deep holes in the yard, from the truck digging into the mud, when being pulled out they tore up more yard and our driveway. My husband told Mr. [redacted] that they needed to fix the yard and driveway. He took a check for #300.00 and refused to fix the yard and driveway. Dirt needs to be brought in and the 4 deep holes filled in, the tire tracks, from the pulling need to be fixed, grass seed planted and straw put down. Then gravel needs to be brought in and the driveway fixed. This is going to cost money. Mr. [redacted] refuses to fix this or give us money to fix ourselves. I would not recommend anyone call this man and I hope that Revdex.com can help us get our property fixed.Desired Settlement: We want $300 full refund or the damages fixed to our satisfactory. This Mr. [redacted] refuses.

Response:

This is a statement regarding the property of [redacted]. The Complaint that was sent in was a complete false statement. They never contacted me more then once and when they did they stated they had reported us to Revdex.com. They also paid at completion of job and said good job. The only part that was true was that we did take the tree down and pull our truck in the yard to do so and we did have help pulling the truck from the yard. For which we cleaned up and raked the damages. The attached files above include a statement from the neighbor witnessing our work and work ethics. Also attached are picture proving that the yard is not in disrepair. We would like this complaint completely pulled from the Revdex.com file. Per when we contacted the customer regarding this complaint he stated if we came in his yard he would shoot me. We consider this fraud and harassment. [redacted]Viewpoint Tree ServiceOwner

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. After completing the tree removal, which we are not complaining about, the companies truck was stuck, they dug deep holes into the ground. Mr. [redacted] was told that he needed to fix the yard before he left that day and his response was that he did, which he didn't. He was not told they did a good and was ask for a receipt, for which we did not receive. I looked him up on the Revdex.com website and saw where there have been a lot of other complaints, all involving damages to property. I filed our complaint we took pictures of the damage to our property, for which Mr. [redacted] was sent an email with those pictures. He called me on 2/7/15, after receiving my email telling him he needed to repair all the damage, and told me he was not responsible for the damage that was an act of God and they had fixed what they tore up. I told him the holes in the yard were not fixed and he needed to fix it, again I heard they were not responsible for an act of God and that was what his getting stuck was, an act of God. I am attaching pictures of the damage that they caused to our yard and again request that he be made to repair all damage to the yard and to our driveway, from which his other truck tore up when trying to pull the bucket truck out of the yard. We have grandchildren that can not play in the back yard now because of the holes, and you see they are deep. As for the neighbor he needs to mind his own business.

The business was called, came out looked at tree said could take down that Friday in the AM. We never said it had to be done right away because we were scared tree would fall. The tree was in excellent condition, we wanted it down before it started to produce fruit again. They knew how the weather had been and had they came in the AM they would not have damaged the yard. First he says it is an act of GOD they got stuck now he says we rushed them. We didn't rush them and they should have know not to bring that big truck into the wet yard knowing they didn't need it to cut the tree down. We never told them great job they were told they needed to fix the damage and did nothing, yet they said they fixed it. You have pictures of what the yard looks like. The tree cutting was never the issue. They have been in business long enough to know not to go into yards and that they didn't need that big machine. We want our yard fixed.

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. This is not a hayfield this is our backyard. We have a dog pen, clothes line, and shed in the yard. Pictures clearly show this is a yard. In my opinion when he said he was not responsible for repair of a hay field he admits he did damage. You have lots of pictures showing the damage done to the yard now we would like it to be repaired and we want grass to be planted. For this he can supply a check for the damages they clearly did.

I hired VIEWPOINT TREE SERVICE to remove a large popular tree and 3 dead pines on my property they did very nice job and cleaned up well!!!

very safe ,would recommend to anyone

Review: Contacted Randy Brooks (owner) to remove 2 trees for us, Randy came by evaluated the trees, My husband & myself were there talking to him. Randy gave us a estimate of $600.00 to remove the 2 trees, 1 in the front yard & 1 in the back yard. He explained to me that it was going to be a All Day Job, we scheduled it for May 3rd,2013. I called Randy on May 2nd to verify that he would be here. Randy & his crew showed up on Friday May 3rd around noon, job was completed around 6:00-6:30pm, during the time of the tree removal in the back yard, Randy & his crew had broken my clothesline post, during the initial estimate he asked us just to remove the lines from the post, that we didn't need to actually remove the post. So we removed the lines. One of his workers (dark haired, short gentleman) told me not to worry about the post, that they would come back to fix that. At the time of completion Randy told my husband that he had 2 clothesline post at home & he would bring them by this weekend. When I returned home on Sunday 5/5/2013, the trees looked Great, I could not see the yard due to it being dark. When I woke up on Monday, I noticed that my back yard was all torn up. I texted Randy, & I have copyies of all the text that went back & forth, eventually he called my number & left a voicemail to have my husband call him he didn't want to deal with me. My husband called Randy & was told about how he didn't mess up the dog cage or the shed, but "It is what it is" with the yard. He eventually asked my husband what he wanted & my husband told him we wanted the yard fixed with all the Ruts made from their vehicles, the dog cage & shed were not the problem, the torn up yard with all the ruts in it were. Randy was upset that I had contacted the Revdex.com, & told my husband if his wife wanted to make a complaint on him to the Revdex.com go ahead, & Randy hung-up on my husband.Desired Settlement: I would like my yard fixed, holes filled with top-soil & whatever else needs to be done for the holes to be filled & leveled, & to have grass seed put on.

Response:

As per verbal agreement with Mrs. [redacted] the agreement was to take down the 2 trees and clean up debris. She was happy with the tree work. The agreement only included the tree take down and clean up debris per conversation with Mrs. [redacted]. If Mrs. [redacted] wanted her grass re-seeded and top soil we would have been more then glad to do so for extra cost. The additional services requested were not apart of the original agreement. We also had the lowest estimate for the tree take down which is why she chose us but we can not do more then what was agreed upon as originally stated. We would be more then happy to bring by her clothes line post if she would still like it. We do value her as a customer but we can not do more then what is included in original agreement.
