Viking Pest Control Reviews (33)

The most recent statement made by the homeowner claiming that we only treated outside the spare bedroom is completely falseIn fact, the customer was not even home during the second treatment and we were let into the home by a friend or neighborIn addition, when we returned to the home for the final inspection our technician informed the homeowner that no visible evidence of live bed bugs was found which was not disputed by the homeownerThis was also clearly documented on his service inspection reportThe homeowner did not mention anything about bites or activity at that timeHad he stated to the technician that he was still having a problem we would have taken additional steps including documenting the homeowner's concerns on our inspection report and scheduling a follow up inspection and treatment if necessaryWe are considering this case closed and will not consider or respond to any additional claims made by this customer

I have had the pleasure of doing business with Viking Pest Control for the past year I value his integrity, and honesty which is not always the case within this ins=dustry His chemicals are properly mixed and his passion to provide the very best service sets him apart from others I have worked with I highly recommend Viking Pest Control to anyone who values knowing that the job performed is as promised each and every time*** ***

The customer contacted us on 8-1-16 regarding a dispute. This is the note entered into our system documenting the conversation. "[redacted] CALLED BACK AND CLAIMS THAT MARC TOLD HER THAT THIS WOULD BE A "ONE TIME TREATMENT ONLY", SHE ALSO STATED THAT SHE WAS GOING TO WRITE ON THE CONTRACT WHEN SHE...

SIGNED IT THAT SHE WOULD ONLY PAY WHEN SHE WANTED A SERVICE. I WENT OVER THE CONTRACT WITH HER AND EXPLAINED THE BENEFITS OF A MONTHLY YARD GUARD SVC AND THAT IT WAS ONLY FOR FIVE MONTHS OUT OF THE YEAR.SHE ASKED ME TO CANCEL THE SERVICE AND STATED THAT SHE WAS GOING TO SUE US AND WAS ALSO GOING TO COMPLAINT TO THE Revdex.com. I TOLD HER I WOULD GO AHEAD AND CANCEL HER SERVICE" The complaint filed with the Revdex.com does not mirror that of what was documented on 8-1-16. None the less, on 8-2-16, I refunded the customer all money paid. It should be noted that the customer made 2 payments of $95.23, both of which were refunded. The payments were for services rendered on 5/25/16 and on 6/15/16. The customer was billed for a July service that was not rendered. I issued a credit for the July service that was not paid for. The current balance on this customer's account is $0.00, and all money was refunded promptly after she voiced a concern on 8-1-16.

I am rejecting this response because: The contract specifically states that the whole house was to be treated. The contract was not fulfilled. The first visit they did a full treatment, the second visit the technician stated he only did the a treatment at the entrance to one room and found no evidence of anything in the other rooms and did nothing  else.  On the third visit the technician showed up without any treatment equipment and did a inspection and said no further treatment is necessary. I complain to the technician that they were still evidence of the infestation because we still where gettin bitten . Technician said he would nite it but he was not going to do another treatment even though the contract specifically states that 1. the whole house is supposed to be treated 2. that if there is still signs of the infection the treatment would be done on third visit .
Viking failed to provide services as they were contractually obligated. The station is a result of their failure to provide services in the original contract.

Dear [redacted], We have fullfilled our agreement with Mr. [redacted]. The bed bug service agreement expired on 2/29/16. Mr. [redacted] was informed of the contract terms when he authorized us to perform treatment on 12/28/15. The history of our visits to the property are as follows: Initial inspection and...

estimate took place on 12/28/15 First of three visit treatment took place on 12/31/15 Second of three visit treatment took place on 1/13/16 Third and final inspection took place on 1/29/16 Our service agreement is for a thirty day period after the final inspection. The service agreement expired on 2/29/16. Mr [redacted] did not call us to report any problems until 4/22/16. This means that the bed bug problem was re-introduced into the home at some point after the service agreement expired. We went back to the property on 4/25/16 to give an estimate for additional treatment and were told that he could not afford any additional treatment. We would be more than happy to provide additional treatment at the property at an additional charge. We fullfilled our obligation to Mr. [redacted] as described above and as described on our contract. Thank you, [redacted]

After reviewing the account it appears as if there was a miscommunication of the services from our sales representative to the client. At this time Viking Termite & Pest control has made the decision to credit the balance on the account and stop the collections process.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:  No one had my permission to cut any parts of my furniture. Nor was I informed of this procedure.

On February 7, 2015 Viking Termite & Pest Control was contacted by our client to give a proposal for squirrel removal. Our inspector met with the client and sold a service to install live traps to the home on February 9, 2015. Over the following month our staff removed 3 squirrels from the home....

The cost of the traps and removal of all squirrels from the property was $900 plus tax for the service agreement period. On September 6, 2015 several months after the original service we were contacted by the client to provide a squirrel removal service again. At this point the original inspector reached an agreement with the client on a new live trapping program for a cost of $450 plus tax to remove any squirrels during the agreement period. Our technician provided the initial service on September 24, 2015 and from that point we had not heard from the client until this dispute. Our local Branch Manager contacted the client following receipt of this notification and agreed to credit the $450 plus tax charge out of good will.

The claim is that no service was rendered and our technician simply handed the customer some sticky traps and left. I have a service ticket, signed by [redacted] acknowledging that our technician was at her home for almost an hour rendering a service for ants, spiders, and mice. The complaint is...

completely inaccurate.

contact at [redacted] and supplied a preparation procedure sheet along with verbal instructions on how the treatment process works. Due to the nature of bed bugs a thorough treatment must be rendered to cracks and crevices susceptible to harboring bed bugs. These areas include bed frames, head and foot boards, mattresses, box springs, furniture, baseboards, electrical outlets among others. Due to the pests ability to travel and hide in very small openings we must apply products directly to as many of these areas as possible. In order for our technicians to access these areas we must remove or cut the dust cover on the bottom of some furniture to access the inner assembly of the furniture as well as the tufts and seems of fabric and staples that are used to attach the dust cover. Our technicians must also thoroughly treat the seams and cracks and crevices of the mattress and boxspring as this is the most likely area of activity which is why the plastic covering was removed. Unfortunately plastic coverings are not the industry standard recommended encasement for covering these items as any puncture or tear in the plastic can allow the pest to travel in and out. Following the completion of the treatment the mattress and box spring are typically left in a position to allow the products used to dry efficiently. Our technicians may also leave other furniture open or in a position to allow for quicker drying.

The second Viking representative did not deem the service unnecessary. The second Viking representative performed the service that was proposed to [redacted] We can provide a signed service ticket showing that the service was rendered. I would like to request that the voicemail that [redacted] received be shared with representatives from Viking Pest Control. I am the only one who handled this Revdex.com correspondence and I certainly did not make any remark like the one that [redacted] is claiming to have received. We have no tolerance for poor customer service and inappropriate language. If [redacted] did receive a voicemail with inappropriate language, we would appreciate the audio to take appropriate actions with that employee. Please contact me to send that audio file via email, text, or any other method you prefer. Thank you very much for your correspondence.
