We are working with our carrier to resolve the issues and compensation. Any delays are on the behalf of our carrier's due diligence period to determine coverage. We have additional information we did not have prior with like-kind- and quality replacement

We have waited 13 months to be able to use our shower.  We provided your business with 2 bids to repair the faulty installation completed by your business.  We have been extremely timely with payments, documentation, etc.  Your business has dragged its proverbial feet for months, hoping that we would just walk away and forget about it.  We haven't forgotten about it and we won't forget about it.  We are losing the enjoyment of our master bathroom because of Viking Restoration/DKI.  Can you not concede that point?  We have tiles falling out of the wall because of the incompetence of your employees.  The very reason we decided to add a master bathroom ONE YEAR AGO is for the convenience, yet we are saddled with INCONVENIENCE.$10,848.  That is what we want.  We will not accept less.  That is what it will cost to repair this.

1. The home repair to shower is leaking from a product failure or install issue with the product. I have had two contractors inspect the installation.  Both have state that the shower wall panels, glass, and mosaic tile installation reflect poor workmanship.  Furthermore, they state that there is no chance of being able to reuse the pieces after removal.  The cost of the kit is over $2500.  The install issue of the product falls upon Viking Restoration.  Your employee broke down the costs and, per the document provided, charged us $630 (14 hrs at $45/hr) to install the shower.  As per the attached quote to repair the shower, it needs to be replaced because of the "poor workmanship with installation".   2. We have contacted our carrier to address through an insurance claim.  I submitted an estimate (the cheaper of the two) on October 2.  It has been 6 weeks since then and there hasn't been any resolution.  We have not been able to use our shower in months.  The shower that we paid your company to install.  We didn't pay your insurance company.  We paid Viking Restoration.  Our complaint is with Viking Restoration.  3.  The customer received a bid to redo entire shower with a different product which tells me that is the issue. The customer provided shower surround. We are being FORCED to replace the shower because Viking Restoration ruined the shower surround when it was installed.  If we didn't have mold growing in the glass from improperly caulked areas, we wouldn't need to replace it.  If we didn't have mosaic tiles falling out, leaving exposed drywall, we wouldn't have to replace it.  If our shower walls were properly secured to the cement board, we wouldn't need to replace it.  When discussing our options with a different contractor, we were sold on replacing the existing kit with tiles to replace the panels and new glass, all using the same drains and area in the bathroom.  We are not tainted by the kit we bought.  Our new contractor simply had a different idea. 4.  We have chosen to address the complaint through our insurance via being in a dispute with the consumer. We simply want our money back so that we can hire a competent contractor to replace our shower with something that works and won't cause further damage to our home.  We have been MORE than patient waiting for resolution.  If Viking Restoration remits $10,848 to us, we will release them from their contractually obligated 3 year warranty and cease all further claims.  For us, this has NOTHING to do with insurance.  If Viking Restoration has an insurance claim, that is on them.  Our complaint is with Viking Resoration.
