Call customer and working with him to fix the problem.  John

Good Morning Revdex.com

I have read the complaint.  I have been serving [redacted] Vehicles For Over 10 years.  D[redacted] is a quality individual,  who I consider a Friend.  The complaint was file by...

his son Harrison.  D[redacted] is  paying for the repairs of the vehicle.  I called D[redacted] as soon as I received the complaint to find out what the problem was.  He responded by asking if I have children.  I  said "yes" .  He replied "now you know the problem".  The vehicle in question is a 1989 Volvo 760 with over 183,316 miles.  It is a 25 year old car.  Things wear out and D[redacted] knows this.  He wanst us to work on his cars.  His son by his own admission knows nothing about cars. That being  said,  D[redacted] knows that he needs brakes on the front and rear with rotors. I  have offered to do the brakes for $300 off the bill for customer loyalty.

Thanks

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 10048320, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
I recently filed a complaint (#10048320) regarding a local automotive repair business. However, the issue has now been resolved satisfactorily

Review: I have taken my car to Villa Automotive numerous times in the past, and each time my car has come back progressively worse than before. What started out as (what should have been) a simple issue with a warning light turned into a four-week long fiasco, leading to not only a lack of transportation on my part, but also my exploitation as a paying customer. My family and I was forced to pay a preposterous amount of money for "repairs" that neither remedied the initial problem, nor satisfied our expectations from the business.Weeks ago, my father (who is physically disabled; I am a full-time student and part-time bookseller) took my car in for service. The issue at hand was a light indicating overdrive was on, despite no user input. Whenever this light came on, my indicator lights would not function, and fourth gear would not function either. Additionally, my vehicle had previous issues with stalling, which was "unidentifiable," according to Villa Automotive. This most recent visit led to the automotive technicians finally "discovering" the source of the stalling--apparently a hose needed cleaning. They also fixed the issue with the overdrive light, attributing it to a short in my ignition cylinder. This ignition cylinder had been installed by them about a month earlier. To sum it up: their own "repairs" resulted in me coming back for more help. Their own "investigations" of a stalling issue had overlooked simple blockage. Their own "service" cost me upwards of a two-thousand dollars overall. To make matters worse, after taking my car from Villa Automotive after the latest visit, we discovered one of my windshield wipers had ceased functioning. This was not the first time we were abused by Villa Automotive, and if we ever considered their business again, it certainly would not be the last.Villa Automotive betrayed our trust as consumers, and according to numerous other online reviews, we are not the only ones victimized. As a business, they must accept responsibility for their actions.Desired Settlement: I expect the exact amount of money I paid their business to be refunded in full.

Good Morning Revdex.com

Review: My 2005 Infiniti G35 Coupe was his by a Geico costumer on 9/21/15. The car was taken to Villa Automotive where it required a left fender, left headlight, front bumper cover, and radiator core support. The adjuster came to look at the car late on the 22nd. I had talked to the adjusters supervisor, S[redacted], earlier that day and requested the give me a used headlight ($550) instead of new ($950)so that my headlights would match. S[redacted] said this was fine and added a used headlight to the order.

I went to get my car back from Villa Automotive on 10/9/15. The head of the body shop, P[redacted], was responsible for the repair of my car and he was not there to return the car to me. One of the detailers gave my car back to me.

I immediately noticed that they had put a NEW headlight in the car when the parts order specifically request a LKQ (Used) headlight.

I also noticed that the bumper cover obviously didn't fit on the car properly, with large gaps under both headlights. I found out later that air enters these gaps and made noise when driving quickly.

I expressed my concern to the detailer and I was told to come back the next day to talk to P[redacted].

I returned on the 10th and talked to P[redacted]. He told me that the adjuster verbally said to buy a new headlight and he hadn't even looked at my order for a LKQ headlight. P[redacted] blamed Geico for this and told me to take it up with Geico.

P[redacted] also said Geico ordered a aftermarket bumper cover that was painted before they realized it didn't fit properly. The bumper cover should have been test fit and returned before it went any further.

I attempted to have them fix the car multiple times but P[redacted] always told me he would call me when he resolved the issue with Geico. The last time I talked to P[redacted] was 10/21/15 after multiple attempts to fix the car and I'm writing this on 12/10/15.

P[redacted] and Villa Automotive have done everything thing they can to avoid fixing my beloved car and I feel I have no where else to turn.Desired Settlement: Villa Automotive did not fix my car due to oversights and mistakes. I just want my car to be like it was before my car got hit. I want a bumper that actually fits my car and the used headlight I ordered.
