Per the complaint submitted by Mr [redacted] back on September 7, 2017, I have attached a copy of his lease contract that reflects a $security deposit as agreed and signed by him I have also attached a copy of his ledger that reflects no security deposit ever taken in on his account As reflected in the documents attached, Villa Del Mar Apartments has in no way wrongfully denied Mr [redacted] a security deposit, since one was never made.Thanks, [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] Check us out online!PLEASE SEE ATTACHED

Review: I am trying to move down to North County San Diego with my fiancee, as she was just accepted into the Credential Program @ San Marcos State. We are currently looking for apartments when we came across a listing for an apartment for rent in Oceanside @ a place named, VILLA DEL MAR Apartments, located just off the 76. We contacted the apartment on the weekend and were able schedule a visit the same day. The lady we dealt with was amazing! We contacted her the next day and said we wanted to reserve the apartment we were told was available. The price was quoted at $960 with a pet fee of $25 per pet per month, and a deposit of $500 with $500 per pet. We were fine with that and were given applications for ourselves as well as our cosigner. We were told that we weren't able to hold the apartment or turn in our info till Monday. When Monday came my fiancee went to turn in the paperwork and hold fee and credit check fee. When she entered the office she was told that the apartment we wanted was not actually available, the tenants had not turned in their keys, so therefore we were not able to hold the place. We were then told that the only places available now were for $1025, not $960. (on a side note I looked on craigslist to see if their ads were still up so I could reference them, they were and there were new one's saying apartment available for $950 and $985; both posted after noon on Monday. yet when we ask if there is anything available for anything at or around $960 they say no.) So my fiancee leaves and calls me. I call them up and they claim that not only is apt 153 not available yet, but the 30 notice isn't turned in. Then later in the conversation she says that indeed the notice is turned in, but they don't know if the apartment will need repairs and they won't know till after the 15th. I then ask about apartment #119 and she says that it was just rented out this morning. How can it be rented out if the tenants are still in it? They lied to us the whole time and then hung up on me. no classDesired Settlement: I want my apartment at the price I was quoted, plus the $500 off the first months rent. As Advertised! This company should not be allowed to get away with this kind of bait and switch kind of tactics, on people who can's afford it and have little choice. This is the worst kind of business, not only that I have never been treated so poorly by people in the customer service industry. I felt like I was just a nuisance to them and they don't care, nor would they approve us now, even with a cosigner
