Village Auto Outlet, Inc. Reviews (1)

I purchased a car from Village Auto Outlet in Raleigh NC April 4, 2013.When I purchased a used Mercedes 2002 CL500 mileage total there was no "Sold As Is Sign in the Windshield of the vehicle. The asking price for the vehicle 12,000. I put a down payment of $2,000. Not even three weeks after having purchased the vehicle I began to have issues with the vehicle. I took the vehicle to Leith Inc. Mercedes 5601 Capital Blvd Raleigh NC and had them to do a diagnosis check and that cost me $137.50.They told me that the ABC Strut had to be replaced which would run me another $2,500.I contacted Village Auto Outlet and they agreed to give me $800 towards the repair of the vehicle. Two months later I had to have another ABC strut replace this time by [redacted] in Roxboro NC for $2,100. After purchasing the vehicle, I had to put it in the shop. I got behind in payment, [redacted] Acceptance(X-XXX-XXX-XXXX) was told of the issues they reposses it when I was only a month and a half behind. Today the vehicle is still not running and I am $11,000 in debt. If I am one day late [redacted] tacks on another $75 late fee. Can they do that? I have been communicating with them and keeping them informed on why I got behind. I know without a doubt I was sold a lemon. Please, Please help me. The $5,000 I have paid in repairs I could have paid on the car loan. They put me in this situation by selling me a lemon.Product_Or_Service: Mercedes Account_Number: XXXXXXXXDesired SettlementI would like for them to take this vehicle back and give me one that runs. I can provide receipts of all monies paid out towards the repair of thevehicle. The finance company is still ripping me off by making me pay $75 for late fees....Business Response /[redacted]/Customer contacted Village Auto about the first issue, we had the vehicle tow and attempted to help resolve the situation and at that time we gave the customer an option of either helping with the repair or returning the vehicle for a refund. Customer decided to keep the car so we agreed to pay 800.00 toward this repair. After assisting customer with the initial repair by giving him 800.00, we never heard back from him again. This complaint is the first time we are hearing of any issues with the car other than the initial. Customer had told us that by helping him with that repair, he would keep the car and all future repairs would be on him. that is why I do not understand why he is complaining to Revdex.com. We did not sell him a lemon, he signed and as is buyers guide and understood he was buying the car as is without any warranty from Village Auto.As with those types of vehicles, repairs are necessary as well as expensive. He knew this going in.As with all of our vehicles, they are sold as is and the customer did sign the form. A copy can be provided upon request
