on 6/22/I picked my car up after having timing belt, brakes and water pump done I came back a few hours later when I saw heat gage approaching red Mechanic untwisted radiator cap and a air bubble was expelledI said great thanks car must be fine now (knowing that timing belt work could cause this air pocket) and the shop owner and office manager then said the car was UNDRIVABLE and needed 2,more money from me (needed head gaskets was their diagnosis after untwisting a radiator cap) to be safe on the road for me or my daughter (whose car it was to be on her birthday) They said think about it and we will but it for 1, Sine it was UNDRIVEABLE I sold it to them versus having it towed elsewhere or whatever A few days later I went in to get CD's I had forgotten about and the extra car key I found and the car was parked out front with window down and full of items Tom S*** the owner said and I quote "it is my new work car it has not overheated for me." I have read the complaint from *** ***The part about the car being "fine" was not correctAt the time she came by to drop off key, yes I was driving carI live a few miles from shop so it would never over heatI did not tell her that she was afraid for nothingThat night I took car for
longer drive and it overheated againThe next day I took engine apart and repaired warped cylinder heads and installed a new radiator, as other had meltedI also installed a left front wheel bearing.The reason I told *** it was not drivable was that she drives for a livingYes the car would have been worth more money if it was in excellent conditionI thought I was doing her a favor by giving her 1,for carI have been working on cars for years, I have never lied to a customer about a car in all that timeMy reputation is very important to meIf *** had talked to me aout her issues, I would have explained all of this to her.ThanksTom S***
