Again, I am very sorry that Mr. [redacted] is having problems with his vehicle. The car was sold AS-IS 8 Months ago and we cannot offer any more assistance to him with servicing his vehicle.
I am rejecting this response because: They did not absorb the total cost of repairing my Security System. I purchased the part and they installed it and when I went to [redacted] they explained that we could get new keys online and that they would charge us to re-program. The Security System is still not completely working. As I am not a mechanic, there was no way for me to know that the car was in such bad condition. I asked if it needed a Front Wheel Alignment when I purchased it and was told no. My daughter has only been driving the car for about 4 months due to having her privileges suspended for an early accident until January. Since then she has been driving less than a mile to and from school.
Mr. [redacted] purchased a 2002 VW Cabriolet from us on August 14 2014. The purchase price was $3905.00 Plus tax and title. The vehicle was sold AS-IS and Mr. [redacted] test drove the car several times before buying it. About a month after he purchased the car , he contacted us stating that the...
security system kept going off at random times. Even though the car was sold AS-IS, we had him bring it back in and we replaced the security computer and sent it to Byers VW to have the security system re-programmed . We absorbed the total cost of this repair, which was nearly $400.00 . Mr. [redacted] has been driving the car for over 8 months and last week he called to ask if we would help him fix his front suspension, and threatened to report us to the Revdex.com if we wouldn't fix it. I don't know what is the problem with his suspension, but the car was sold AS-IS and we have been very helpful to Mr. [redacted]. We take our customer service very seriously, as evidenced by our A+ rating with the Revdex.com. Unfortunately when a customer buys a 12 year old used car AS-IS they will eventually have to do some service. At this point I can't offer Mr. [redacted] any more help with his car. Thank you for your help in this matter.
