I am rejecting this response because I feel that I nor my one cat created any of the damage that Bogey Hills Apartments claims I did. When I moved back from Reno, Nevada I lived there with three cats and never had a problem when I moved out (I learned it is now a different management company and clearly not well maintained). Unfortuately, I had to sell my house due to the stairs (a hindrance due to ataxia) and moved into the apartment in March of 2014, my father passed away in December of 2014. I was the only sibling that took care of my mother, and I did not have time to move from that stinky place--the carpet had an odor when I moved in, *** was the manager at that time, I also did not have the money to do a double move nor two months rent to break the lease (I had to stay). However, I began looking for villas in October of 2015. I planned to live at the apartment for a long time, but since it was not well maintained, unsafe, and hazardous to my health, I could not wait to move out. When I did move out, I had a professional fill all nail holes and clean the carpets, I even checked the carpet with my own stink finder black light befoe I took the office my keys, they did not have time for my "check out". Due to an appointment, I did not have time to sit around and wait for an office staff member, also the check out letter the office sent me weeks prior stated that I would be charged additional money if they did not have the keys by the check out date. Therefore, I gave them my cell phone number and new address--even asked them to call if their were any problems. No call, so I assumed everything was fine (they could have even called my emergency number, which was my mother). I never was given a chance to see the damage the apartment claims I (or my cat) did. I just got a letter stating that my security deposit was being kept and I owed $or I would be reported to collections and my credit score would be effected. The letter also indicated that their carpet business recommended sealing the subfloor and laying new carpet which financially benefited this carpet business. I am disappointed with the apartment lies, ruining of my property due to black mold, and the tremendous stress created by living at this apartment, that I now feel legal action on my behalf needs to be taken
