We got a puppy from this man,Bill, about a month ago,we took her to vet and she had worms..intestinal worms..she must've been the runt, vet said she was 5 lbs and at least 2 months old..Bill said she was healthy and 6 weeks old..we had a dna test and just got results..she is 18 percent grey wolf,27 percent German shepherd13 percent chow chow..he assured us she was around 85 percent wolf..all the dog pins was nasty, muddy,no water to drink except muddy rain water..he needs to be shut down for the conditions of land and animals..true case of cruelty...our puppy runs away at any noise, cowers in corners..shes starting to trust us but it's been a long road..

I own a 93% Domesticated Wolfdog from Starcross Wolves who as of May 2018 will be age 4. I poured over the website before making the journey out to Starcross Wolves in Athens Texas to learn everything I could about the place. I personally toured his property where he not only raises wolfdogs but also rescues dogs who are also for adoption. The animals that breed are separate from the rescues. One wolfdog who was then retired from breeding watched over the rescues because he reduced aggression from the dogs. Mr. L explained that he only ever has trouble with the rescues being aggressive and from my experience with one of his animals I can see why. My animal has never been aggressive. He has been attacked by other dogs before while we were out walking and both times he defused the situation without aggression. His temperament is something you don't even see in police dogs. I adopted another wolfdog that was not from Mr. L. He was one year old when we got him and was very troubled. He had come from an abusive home and had huge trust issues. My Domesticated Wolfdog played a huge role in teaching him social skills with other dogs and has gone on to earn a level 3 advanced training certificate-- something his previous owners said was impossible. I would like to take credit for how much he's recovered but truly most of his training was done by the Domesticated Wolfdog I adopted from Mr. L. The pet I've enjoyed for four years and counting has been in every way everything I had hoped him to be. If you read through Mr. L's very long explanation of the animals he is adopting to others and what they can expect from their new family member you will see the exact experience I have had with mine. This breeder has very successfully established his own breed of Domesticated Wolfdogs and the temperament of the animals that he adopts out, raises, and breeds is second to none. Not only at age four is my animal able to follow any directions/commands I ask of him but he can also act autonomously in anticipation of my needs and desires. He behaves better than most children and there is no one I trust in my home more than him. I own two other animals who are not allowed free roam of my house when I'm not home and are therefore crate trained. My Domesticated Wolf from Starcross Wolves is trusted implicitly-- and he deserves that trust. He watches over the whole house while I am away and by that I don't mean he guards my home but rather keeps the other two at peace because there was a time that they both had terrible separation anxiety and if left in a crate they would destroy the crate to get out. The presence of my Domesticated Wolfdog is enough to calm them and keep peace until I return home. My Domesticated Wolfdog is more than a pet, he's a companion and he makes each day better and brighter. I believe this is due to the superior breeding of the animals here. If you read through the comments Mr. L has on his breed he explains that his animals are not recent ancestors of pure wolves rather they are a breed of wolf that he has personally domesticated. It's hard to describe how remarkable my boy is in a way that makes sense to someone who has never experienced what I have with my Domesticated Wolfdog. I can say that they are not for everyone because they require the same attention another human being does and if you are at all busy then I don't believe you will have the experience I have had with mine. He and I spend nearly 100% of our time together and he knows me better than I know myself. I suffer from anxiety and panic attacks and my boy knows when and how to calm me down. When I have an anxiety attack my family doesn't rush to me with pills in hand but rather they get me my wolf and within seconds he has done what he needs to do to defuse the situation and restore my peace. Normally he is at my side and needs no prompting to assist me. I should also add that he has never received any formal training as a therapy animal. He taught himself what to do to help me and chose the job himself and I reward him for his work with all the love and devotion imaginable. When I got a husband he got a companion too and we are all very happy. My husband and I agree that our boy is everything Mr. L said he would be and some of the things he claims about his animals ARE hard to believe but it's all completely true. I've adopted a Domesticated Wolfdog who is intelligent, proud, self aware, loving, happy and so so so much more.

The puppy I purchased was advertised as 91% Wolf. DNA testing proves that the puppy is only 25% wolf. The property was cluttered and overrun with dogs. Not wolf dogs, dogs. There are wolf mixes, but not what is advertised. Most pics on the website are of dogs from 2007. Several mixed/muts running loose. There are over 100 dogs on this property. The puppy we bought was not only misrepresented as a 91% wolf, but he also had a severe upper respiratory infection and pneumonia along with a severe case of coccidia. He had to spend the first night we had him in intensive care at the emergency vet. The owner of this puppy mill is clearly in it for the money, and not the welfare of the animals. False advertising at its best. Stay away from this place at all cost.
