I registered for a 4-hour BLS Provider Class which was scheduled on 8/2/19 at 8 AM. I paid $93.45 in total which included $89.00 for the class & $4.45 processing fee. 15 minutes before the class, I received a call from the VEPF Institute informing me that the class has been rescheduled for the same evening at 6:00 PM in Fairfax, VA. I asked him to email me the address for the class. I did not receive any communication from them until noon, so I called back to ask for the address again. I still did not receive any communication from them until 3 PM, so I called back yet again and I was told that the class has been cancelled because their center is being painted. I was assured, at that point, that the money will be refunded in full in 5-7 business days. However, after I did not receive a refund for nearly a month, I called back again & I was told that they have processed and it takes 7 business days to process a refund and it usually takes up to 30 business days to hit the bank account. The person on the phone continued to say that I should see the money in my account by Friday. I waited till the Monday after that Friday and still no sign of a refund. I called back and left a voicemail. Shortly after leaving a voicemail, I received an email from them stating that the refund for $89.00 has been processed and I will see the money in 30 business days - a time frame that is unheard of. VEPF did not answer any of my subsequent phone calls. I asked my sister to call them and her phone call was answered immediately. I called them from my husband's phone and they answered and I was told that my bank has my money. He refused to help me any further and I literally had to force him to check with his accounting department to look into this matter. He agreed to check with them but refused to give me a timeline or give me an update. Moreover, he claimed that they couldn't answer my phone calls because they're busy even even though I called them a few seconds before & after my sister called.
