After installation of our roof, a leak as noticed by the fireplace They came back to repair several times However, due to delay in repairingthe ceiling and drywall in the basement were damaged Vince came out and agreed this was an issue that they would address He suggested going through home insurance and that they would refund whatever was not covered Water damage remediation and repair work estimate were ~$ My Insurance deductible is $AND the Progressive informed me that this would not be covered anyway as it was the result of a home improvement project I contacted Vince Hee and again was assured that they would cover this Since then, they have stopped returning my calls

Vince Hee replaced a portion of my roof in July By late 2017, the roof started leaking When I called in January 2018, I was told that Vince is now retired and that he would let me know who I should contact about the warranty Now, in February 2018, my roof is still leaking and my calls have not been returned

It is actually very rare that we have a leak with a full roof replacement, and we looked at and repaired the metal chimney cap with screws through the top and thought the leak was resolved The actual leak was caused when we reinstalled the gutter protection and it diverted water into a void
in the original stucco that was originally finished around the gutter end cap We were very proactive in stopping the leak.In January, after losing some key personnel and looking at our payables vs receivables, we were in trouble I was half expecting the customer to proceed with the repair and send us an invoice I did not aggressively pursue the $mold remediation proposal, because mold does not just appear after leak, but this was a good customer and I did not want to disturb his peace of mind We are now on a firm financial footing, and this was not on my mind, since we have not heard from the customer since the middle of the winter, and he had my cell phone number and it is on our answering machine for emergency service for our previous customers We have not been contacted in months and the first contact was seeing this Revdex.com complaint After reading it at AM in the morning on Saturday, I went into the office, printed a check, called but received no answer, and decided to drop the check in the door and follow up on the phone With years in roofing, this is my first experience with a Revdex.com complaint on my work As much as I am in denial, I accept responsibility for the leak and the resulting damage I apologize for a very passive response after the leak was resolved and very poor communication, which I have found to be the root of most problems and usually one of my strong points.I am very sorry that this customer felt the frustration to file this complaint.Very SincerelyVince HeePresidentVince Hee Roofing

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me I would like to add that I would not use again or recommend Vince Hee My calls were ignored for so long that I felt I had no recourse I wonder how many others simply gave up Thank you for your help in resolving this
