I have been attempting to contact Vinesse wines to cancel my subscription. The website has gone down. The contact phone number *** connects to no one. I signed up through a flyer form I received in the mail. I filled it out and mailed it in. I am not happy with the wine I received and would like to cancel my subscription before I get any additional shipments. But I am unable to reach anyone associated with this company. My feeling is I have been scammed. I do not want my money back. I simply want the assurance that I am no longer subscribed to this company.
Vinesse offers an attractive price on an initial shipment of wine via their wine club. They then send further shipments at much higher prices without informing the customer that a shipment is coming or what the (much higher) price will be. When the customer tries to return the unordered shipment they are informed that their refund will be reduced by a restocking fee and what I consider to be rather steep shipping charges.

NOWHERE is there a warning that future shipments are automatic and at much higher prices and fees.
We do see you enrolled into our wine club through a mailing offer. Your promotion was for six bottles plus two complimentary bottles for $29.99 plus $9.99 shipping. This offer does enroll you into our American Cellars Wine Club. This club does ship once per month 6 bottles of wine for the price of $96.00 plus $25.00 for shipping plus any applicable taxes and surcharges. When it implies online monthly deliveries of six bottles, this is informing of automatic shipments. The mailing offer which was sent through mail does also state this is a wine club for automatic shipments. This is located on the priority order form above where you would sign. Since you did enroll online, a welcome email is generated to you moments following your enrollment which informs you as well of monthly shipments, and the dates of your next two processing dates along with the price. We do see you contacted us on December 13, 2019 where you mentioned to the customer service agent that you were unable to return the shipment. Vinesse is unable to issue a pick up for your state, given these this situation as a onetime courtesy we did issue a full refund in the amount of $153.42 although this remains in your possession. We do hope this is satisfactory to you.
This is how it started: I received a flyer or advertisement form mailed about their sale of their product(wines) 6 bottles for $49.99. I thought at the time, it can be used as gifts for some close friends this Christmas. I sent the payment right away along with the order. I was just surprised to see a box in our doorstep in October from Vinesse. Nov. 22nd I received a third box from them but my husband automatically signed for it. I tried calling their office but the answering machine keeps saying that their office is closed.
