My husband and I reached out to [redacted] (the owner) for estimates on both carpet and hardwood flooring projectsOur initial impressions were really highWhen he returned the estimate to us, we asked if there was any additional flexibility in the price(It turned out to be within $ per square foot of another big box store's carpet & installation price)We may have still gone forward, but we didn't think there was any harm in askingHe responded back to say that he regretted he could not do this job and thanked us for the opportunityWe couldn't understand how we could have possibly offended him to the point where he would turn us town and shut off communicationIt's really unfortunate to punish a consumer for simply asking if there was any flexibility in priceWe certainly didn't mean to offend him and as business owners, are asked that question constantlyIf there was another reason he had to back away, he could have at least done us the courtesy of telling us whyWe had such high hopes and regret turning other jobs away because of the promise of his businessI do hope this will help him in how he treats other future customers, but it will not help him earn business if it doesn't changeWe are disappointed, but wish him the best
