I am rejecting this response because:
I will only accept payment for the sale of my item I will no longer accept the item back The buyer cannot possess my jersey for months and payment not be released as per the contract of sale

agreed he would send the jersey to a third party authenticator. The authenticator has not yet been able to ascertain it's authenticity. They are doing their due diligence. Mr. [redacted] is not willing to wait until an opinion is rendered. We offered to try to get the jersey back from the winning bidder so that, if Mr. [redacted] is not willing to wait for the final opinion, he may just have his jersey back. He declined. So we are still awaiting word as to the item's authenticity. Assuming the jersey is found to be authentic, we will promptly mail a check for $2400 to Mr. [redacted] via overnight FedEx envelope with direct signature required. If the jersey is determined to not be authentic, we will FedEx the jersey back to Mr. [redacted] overnight with direct signature required.

[redacted] refers to the 30 days in saying that we should release his funds regardless of whether his consignment is real or fake.  Our stance is that we would prefer to error on the side of caution and wait to see what the third party authenticator concludes.  We have offered [redacted] the option, if he doesn't want to wait any longer, to retrieve his jersey from the customer and send it back to him.  Ideally, the authenticator would work quicker but they have not reached a conclusion as of yet.  We will be happy to either A. get his jersey back from the authenticator/customer and send it back to him now or B. Wait for a conclusion and send his check for $2400 at that point or send the jersey back if it is determined to be fake.  We feel we are being cautious yet reasonable in our handling of this situation.
