For my daughter's wedding on September 21, 2019, I had an agreement with Clifford B that he will provide a vintage car (1932 ***) for 4 hours at a cost of $1,113.60.

It was a hot late summer day with temperature around 88 degree Fahreheit. My daughter was in the wedding gown and others in Tuxedo or wedding dress. His car's airconditioning (A/C) was not in working order (admitted by his own driver to us).

Mr. B's argument was that I should have known that 1932 car may not have air conditioning. He never said that when we signed the contract and anytime after that.

Our experience was unbearable for 20 minutes drive from out home to the church and another 20 minutes from the church to the reception center. Imagine, one of the most important day of one's life is ruined by an unscrupulous business man.

Our 87 year old 1932 *** does have aftermarket A/C (no car in 1932 was made with A/C). The A/C was checked and operating properly on 9-21-19 and our Chauffeur did not say to the client that it was not working but apologized for the unusually hot 88 degree weather in late September. The chauffeur was complimented for his professional service in an email by this client after the event.
2. This client had previously demanded a different car when informed that his original choice of our 1955 *** would have to leave at the end of the contracted time for a later event. He claimed it was our fault for accepting another job after his contract was finished because we should have known that his event could run overtime although he shouldn't be expected to pay for more time unless he needed it. We offered to cancel the contract and refund 100% of his money or allow him to choose one of our more expensive cars at no additional cost. 3. Given the choice of a modern *** or our classic 1932 ***, without the additional $100 surcharge as noted on our Website, the client chose our champagne gold and white satin pearl *** because his Daughter wanted it for the pictures and videos. 4. Our chauffeur called me about the client's complaint after arriving at the church and was instructed to close the front vents so that all cold air would be channeled to the four rear vents in the passenger area. He also parked the car in a shaded area during the church service and started running it before they came out of the church. 5. The contract with VintageLimos.BIZ was in writing for 5 1/2 hours from our "Garage Out" at 11:30am Until "Garage In" at 5pm which is $202.47 per hour not $300 as distorted in the complaint.6. An 87 year old *** is chosen for the unique photo and video opportunities it provides and not for the quality of it's ride or A/C. The client's photographers took full advantage of this fact with their many photos and videos.IN CONCLUSION: VintageLimos.BIZ provided a beautiful Chauffeured 1932 *** with operating Air conditioning that arrived on time, transported the client's party to and from their event in a safe, clean, courteous and timely manner allowing for ample photo opportunities. We apologize for the extraordinarily hot September weather which was apparently beyond the ability of the operational A/C in our 87 year old *** to control to the client's satisfaction and despite threats of bad reviews unless he got 100% of his money back we do not believe that he is entitled to any refund and hope that those who take the time to examine the facts will come to the same conclusion. He used our services for 5 1/2 hours taking many pictures and videos and now wants them for free because he complained that he was too hot during a 20 minute ride.
Our Chauffeur informed me that this man didn't even ride in the car from the Church to the reception which he claims while the Bride and Groom never complained and thanked our Chauffeur for the cool water and kind service he provided. Apparently this client now wants the gratuity that goes directly to our Chauffeur who arrived on time, drove him and his family safely to and from their destinations while being courteous and kind. However, if that is what he wants, we will deduct it from Reynaldo's next check and send this man $185.60.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:

1. A/C was not working. He is lying.

2. I thanked the driver for apologizing for non-working A/C instead of misleading as the owner is trying to do.

3. As per contract, he is supposed to return gratuity if I am not satisfied.

4. He needs to disclose to customers that A/C is nonfunctional or inadequate to prevent other customers to fall into the same predicament. It should be explicitly written on the contract and his website.

5. Finally, when he takes a job, he should be honest. This guy is totally dishonest.
