ASAP was contacted to investigate leaks several times at the subject property On each occasion, we responded and found and repaired a leak Each time we were called, the customer's property manager indicated what he thought was leaking, each time we repaired the leak that we were asked to repair The major work completed was to reroute a slab leak (a slab leak is a water line that is leaking underneath the concrete floor slab) and to run a new main water line from the water meter to the building All of the work we completed was necessary and was approved and signed for by the property manager We do not understand why the customer thinks she should not be responsible for the cost of necessary repairs

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to
complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action (i.e.,
nothing) would not resolve my complaint.
The response
from the business misrepresents the facts.  The statement that the property manager directed ASAP to the
repair sites is simply untrue and easily disproven with statements from 3
separate property management professionals involved.  [redacted] is the regular plumber at the property, they
were called in at the outset and were unable to locate the leak.  They recommended using a leak detection
service.  That is why we turned to
ASAP who advertise leak detection.
To be clear, ASAP
was not called to fix a series of leaks but to find one huge massive growing
leak.  This leak was not addressed
by their first 5 repairs.  Each
time they were called back out because the problem was still there.  This is evidenced in my series of
interactions with San Dieguito Water District between the repairs, for which there
are records.
Please also
note the following repair vs. water bill history.
2/21/15
– Bimonthly Water Bill: $279.12
4/24/15
– Bimonthly Water Bill: $400.75 -- became aware of leak
6/23/15

8/25/15
– Bimonthly Water Bill: $853.86 – leak worsening
9/1/15 –

9/8/15

9/9/15 –

9/14/15
– Water district called again leak dial still spinning
9/21/15
– Certified letter from water district: 74000 gal used since 8/17.
10/5/15 –
ASAP Repair: $5100 (reroute property’s water main between street and building)
10/20/15
– Bimonthly Water Bill: $780.49 – includes usage prior to 10/5 repair
12/25/15 – Bimonthly Water
Bill: $141.03 – finally fixed!
Each time the water company came out they ascertained on the spot that the leak
had not been addressed by looking at the spinning leak dial on the
property.  As this same dial was
accessible to repair personnel, the water company questioned the attempts made
to resolve the leak and progressively escalated their contacts with me,
culminating in a certified letter threatening fines.
This was a 3 month nightmare.  Each
time I authorized and paid for a repair, I believed the issue would be
fixed.  Each time I learned from
San Dieguito Water District it had gotten worse.  Each subsequent time I called ASAP, I expected the company
to take ownership for the fact that their work had not fixed my issue.  Instead, each time they charged me for
an additional repair.   I
understand mistakes can be made, but 5 ineffectual attempts over 3 months for an urgent
issue seems a lot to foist on the customer.  I hoped for better from an A+ rated leak detection company.
Kind Regards,
[redacted]
