I am responding to the complaint filed in regards to the fur hooded coat. I apologize for the damaged fur. The fur was made out of polyester so it can be easily damaged from the heat. I am willing to work this out with the customer. The customer may bring in the hood anytime and I will fix and... replace the fur. Thank you.

The lady filing the complaint insists that the drapery which
I presented to her is not the same as the drapery she brought to me for
cleaning.  However, her son who lives
with her later came to my cleaner and told me that the drapery which I
presented to his mother is the same as the...

drapery that at one time hung in his
bedroom window before she brought it to have it cleaned.  He was very polite and apologetic for his
mom’s unusual behavior. At most, only once or twice a year does a customer bring
drapery to my store for cleaning.  I
clearly remember the drapery which this customer brought in for cleaning
because of the condition of the drapery.
However, even though there is no chance that the drapery was mixed up
with the drapery of another customer, I am willing to return the $50 fee which
I charged for cleaning the drapery.  She
may stop by my store to pick up the drapery and the $50 at her convenience.

Review: Provided cleaners short draperies for cleaning. Cleaners presented long draperies in return after charging $50. Notified Kyoung of mistakes. Refuses to recognize error.Desired Settlement: If original draperies can not be returned/refund payment.

Review: I am a new customer and I had several shirts cleaned at the facility. All the shirts were 100 percent cotton. When the shirts were turned in to be cleaned the man at the counter recommended that one of the shirts be dry cleaned in lieu of laundry because of the material. This shirt like the others is 100 percent cotton. I agreed.

The shirts were cleaned and pressed properly. Two of the shirts that were returned shrank quite a bit and no longer fit properly. The shirts were relatively new and had been laundered before without incident. The shrinkage was quite a bit more than normal and no longer fit in the arms or the shoulders. The shirts cost seventy-five dollars each.

I spoke to the same man about the problem and he said he could only cut the shirts into short sleeves or give me 10 times the amount of what it cost to clean the shirts which is stated in the conditions section on the back of the receipt. That amount equates to twenty-five dollars per shirt. I asked if he read the label in the collar of the shirt that clearly says 100 percent cotton. He said he uses the same process to clean all shirts and that I should have informed him. I was confused by his response because he had commented on the other shirt and recommended dry cleaning.

I explained that it was unacceptable because the shirts were new and expensive and that he failed to wash and dry them at the proper temperature because the shrinkage was excessive. He refused and said it was my fault. In a second conversation with the same person he said he reads the labels before washing (I recorded the conversation) and stood by his initial offer to cut the shirts or give me 10 times the amount of what it costs times to clean the shirt. On the same day I picked up a second set of shirts I had cleaned and all the shirts fit properly. Because of my physique I purchase the same brand and material of shirt from the same manufacture and then have the shirts altered to fit properly which is an additional cost.

As a new customer I was not told of any damage policy until I returned with the shirts to work out a resolution.

The shirts are a Nordstrom's Tailored Fit 100 percent cotton dress shirt.Desired Settlement: 1. A change in the policy which is unfair for items that are expensive. it should reflect a percentage of what an item cost and not his cost to clean.

2. A refund of 75 percent of the cost of the shirts including the cost to have the shirt altered.

3. A posted damage policy somewhere in plain view for customers to see or an explanation of those policies to customers when dropping off items to be cleaned.

Review: This Business Manager told me that the price for Dry Cleaning was $2.25 - Flat Rate and did NOT advertise any prices for clothes Dry Cleaning - No prices were posted. In good faith, I gave them the clothes. However upon delivery I was charged $67.50 for 12 Pieces - significantly more than what I was promised which should have been $27 at $2.25 / each garment. I was told that I had to pay to get my clothes back - needed my clothes and so had to pay under duress. This is an unethical business practice charging me more than what should have been charged as promised with no posted signs to enable me to understand what the price would be.Desired Settlement: I would like to get my money refunded as I was charges way way more than what I was promised. I had to pay under duress.

Review: I brought in a Dress to get the zipper repaired by the company. They repaired the zipper however the zipper still did not work from a new zipper that they placed on the dress. The new zipper also made a tear in the zipper line which I had to bring back to the tailor shop and they charged me again $6.00 to get repaired. I came to pick up the dress on 10/21/13 and the owner tried to charge me $16 for the dress when I was suppose to pay $6. On the receipt it stated $6 however the owner kept arguing with me when he was not the intial person who serviced me with the fixing the dress the 2nd time. The owner was rude and charged me $12 which again I kept explaining to him that was not on the receipt for the charge. I paid the $12 because he would not give me my dress back.Desired Settlement: I would like my $6 back because of the principal of being over charged and rudely spoken to. He kept yelling at me in front on a customer behind me. I informed the owner that I will not return since he does not know how to speak or service customers and he is trying to rob them.

Review: They damaged the fur of an expensive coat I have and refused to pay for the damage. He claims that it is the manufacturer's fault for not giving proper instructions, however they have cleaned that same coat many times before.Desired Settlement: I would like for the business to replace my coat or at least the fur they damaged.

Review: I had given a brand new expensive 100% wool pant for 'Hemming' in January and the owner had told me that it would cost 10 dollars and it would take two days to complete. I had an important meeting the following week and for which I had to get this pant. Unfortunately he did not complete the work within the promised time and asked me to come back after a week. I had to miss the important meeting because I could not get my ne pant back in time. I went to the cleaner again after 1 week and the answer was to come back after 2 weeks. This time the owner was very rude with me nad said 'let us meet in the court'. he did not apologize and did not give any explanation about where my pant was. Everytime I was very polite with hm. He made me wait for more than 30 minutes in front of every one but did not address my issue. He asked me to come on weekend. I wet back again to ask for the pant. He was rude again and uesed abusive language. I called 911 because I was scared and thought that he wold harm me. Police officer came to take the complaint also. This dry cleaner cheats people and steals pants and does not give any explanation. I do not have time to find a lawyer and sue him. His dry cleaning quality is horrible and clothes are never clean. Several times jackets had to be given back because the dirt stays on them but he takes money from people. He needs to be thouroughly investigated. He also hires people and I always see that they look scared to work there as if he abuses them also. Now my pant is gone (worth more than 100 dollars) and I can not even wear the coat which I bought with this as I do not have pant. I am extremely stressed because of this. Please take action against this Dry cleaner. He is cheating people in this area.Desired Settlement: I need to buy another pant which matches the coat. I am not rich and can not afford to buy another suit with my money. The owner of this buisness needs to be thoroughly investigated as I suspect that he is doing this to other customers and likely that he mistreats his employees also by doing illegal things.

Review: I paid $40 for 4 pair of pants be hemmed 1 inch and when they did the hem they only did 1/4 inch and I asked to have the patns redone and the owner told me "not his problem" and would neither reimbirse me the $40 or have them done again.Desired Settlement: Would like a refund of the $40. I spend about $80 a month a this dry cleaner and will take my business else where especially when he told me it was "not his problem".
