Review: The client is very rude and disrepectful when providing there service. There prices for tailoring services change upon every visit and they miscalcualte the amount of sales tax to be charged. During my last visit, the price I was charged was siginificantly less for the same amount of work. When I questioned the bill, they were very rude is disucssing the bill and the owner speaks very little english. My experience was horrible.......Desired Settlement: I was charged 150.00 for the same amount of tailoring work done on another suit, and they charged me 180.00 for another suit. I would like a refund credit of 30.00 to be given back to me, or a credit twoards my next tailoring service.

As the store manager, we, at VIP Tailors apologize for any misunderstanding between you and the owner of the day of your pick-up. After speaking with the owner, I have assessed that a refund of $30 that you are requesting will not be granted due to the fact that although the items being altered have been both suits, the area of adjustment/alterations may defer resulting in difference in pricing. This is the breakdown of your most recent suit alteration. These are our standard prices.

Jacket side taken-in and buttons move: $70

Jacket sleeve shorten: $35

Pant waist, seat, taken-in: $25

Pant crotch taken-in: $25

Pant shorten: $15

Total amount: $170

DC sales tax of 6.0%: $10.20

Total due: $180.20

In addition, the suit was dropped off on May 15 and picked up on May 17. Normally, a suit with this amount of work requires at least 2 weeks. However, the work was fulfilled in 2 working days and was not charged an expedited fee. The customer has a right to decline service the day of drop-off after review of all costs as the claim check revealed not after the service has been completed. I hope this clarifies any misunderstanding.

Review: On 10/23/14, I asked VIP Custom Tailor beside [redacted] hotel in DC (in front of the [redacted] Convention Center) to do same day wash and fold for a black jacket, a pair of jeans and a white long sleeved T- shirt. They requested me to prepay for the bill which amounted to $27.74 and I paid with my credit card. At 5 pm, I picked up the clothes and found my white T shirt to be completely pink. The jeans and the jacket were fine. The lady insisted I gave her a pink shirt and refused to refund the money I paid for the shirt ($4.95) earlier, denied it was their fault, and mocked me that I was crazy. I am visiting from another state for a physicians conference and have only a few shirts that I brought with me, I have pictures that show the white shirt. I also have that pink shirt in my possession in case evidence is required.Desired Settlement: A letter of apology and refund in the amount of $4.95.
