Review: When I received my credit card statement I noticed I was charged more than I was quoted. After several calls I discovered that VIP sub-contracted my reservation to Coastal Breeze Limo without informing me. Coastal Breeze added a $52.00 to my reservation after I already gave the driver $50.00 in cash after he dropped us off. Coastal Breeze denies receiving cash and denies being 20 minutes late all the there documention does not make sense to them. I have called VIP everyday this week, 2 times a day and spoke with Mike every time. He informed me I will have a call back in 48 hours, I have heard nothing. Before booking my reservation with VIP, I verified their crediability through Yelp and Revdex.com with their A rating. Confirmed with the booking agent they were licensed and insured. When booking they laughed that I questioned it and said I would get a call the day of our trip with the name of the driver. I received no call, a driver arrived at 6:20PM for our 6:00 PM reservation, he took our credit card number. After the ride we were dropped off at 8:50 PM our end time was 9:00 PM, we still gave a $50.00 cash tip, handed to him by husband and son. He then gave us a card for Coastal Breeze. I assumed he moonlighted as a driver. When I discovered the different charges and found out what VIP did I checked Revdex.com. Coastal Breeze has an F rating, is not accredited and has a warning to consumers on the Revdex.com site, with complaints about the same issue. I still have not heard anything back from VIP about the issues especially why they, a rated A company gave my reservation to a company that has an F rating with a warning to consumers on the Revdex.com website.

Here is a copy of the credit card statement showing 2 charges.

My original quote from VIP Limousine was $280.00 (tip not included) for 3 hours from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

I previously requested receipts from both companies explaining the charges and Coastal Breeze said to ask my husband and VIP never called back.

When you called you had mentioned that the complaint should possibly be for Coastal Breeze. I just have to say, my deal/agreement was with VIP Limousine, not Coastal Breeze. It's VIP Limousine who decided to sub-contract their bid to Coastal Breeze and not say anything about it. I don't understand how an Accredited Company with A grade with the Revdex.com can give the reservation they had with me to Coastal Breeze, who has an F with the Revdex.com and a warning. They gave my name, address and information to a sketchy company without my knowledge.

When I spoke with Coastal Breeze about the 2 credit card charges, they said the $50.00 to VIP was a deposit, $286.00 was for the remaining $230.00 plus an automatic $56.00 tip, plus I gave the driver $50.00 cash when he dropped us off. VIP NEVER called me back, I called them 2 times a day for a week and spoke to the same guy I mentioned in my complaint who said someone will call you back within 48 hours each time I called. Never heard from VIP.

Firstly I don't understand why the customer is complaining, she had agreed to pay for the specific amount. We took a $50 deposit, and then transferee it out to another company to do the service and collect the remaining the balance. I already refunded the $50 back into her account. Customer will see in 2-3 business days.

I am not sure what is so difficult to understand about what the Complaint is. I received the reply from VIP Limo, "Firstly the customer agreed to the quoted amount". Firstly, VIP Limo there is not an issue with the quoted amount of $280.00 that was agreed between VIP Limo and [redacted]. The problem is that I was ripped off by both companies involved. You claim the $50.00 was a DEPOSIT for the reservation and then you transferred the reservation to Coastal Breeze. Well Coastal Breeze then charged me $286.00 to my credit card plus I gave them a $50.00 cash tip. You say deposit, which is taken at the time of the reservation by most, but yet you did not charge my card until the day of the reservation. If you add the credit card charges only, $50.00 plus $286.00 that does not equal the quote of $280.00.

The main issue is the lack of professionalism and duty by VIP Limo. I booked my rental through VIP Limo after seeing they are accredited by the Revdex.com and had an A rating. Then without my knowledge until I received the credit card bill did I know that my reservation was given to Coastal Breeze, A NON-ACCREDITED COMPANY WITH AN F RATING AND WARNINGS per the Revdex.com. The warnings and complaints are about fraudulent charges. I attempted to resolve this matter with VIP with numerous phone calls and was told by the person answering the phone "oh someone will call you". Even after contacting the Revdex.com, I have heard from the Revdex.com in months. A company who paid to be accredited with an A grade should get some type of mark on the Revdex.com accreditation for selling a reservation to an F company with consumer warnings without saying a word.

Even with Coastal Breeze being crooks with the money, showing up late for the reservation and dropping off early and having an F rating, it is ultimately VIP Limos fault for what happened. They are the ones who contracted Coastal Breeze, not me and not with my permission. They should have called and told me they overbooked and they had to cancel my reservation.
