On October 19, 2015, this client, a [redacted] ***, called me and needed her car get a service B done on her carShe came to the shop and also said that the car had problems shiftingI drove her back to her work in her car so I can test drive the carI initially did not feel any shifting problemsOnly after we serviced her car and test drove it again did we noticed the shifting being offWe noticed that her odometer was at over 62,and therefore asked her if she ever had her transmission serviced [redacted] transmissions are to be serviced every 40,milesHer car was overdueWe advised her that a transmission service is in orderShe agreedWe completed the transmission service and saved a sample of her transmission fluid. On October 30, 2105, she came to the shop and payed us for the services rendered, Service B and a transmission service Prior to that day we discussed that she needed to replace her transmissionThe [redacted] was not happy to hear about it especially that it had to be a rebuilt oneThe [redacted] Brought with her motor pool ***, a ***, to advise herSo, I showed him the transmission fluid sample and he verified that the fluid was dirty and had a burnt smell I made an estimate on what it would cost to put in a rebuilt transmission inThe price I quoted her was $4,but since she was military I gave her a ten (10%) percent discount, that made the estimate at $4, She thought that was too high and wanted to look for a transmission herselfI told her that a storage fee ($25/day) is usually accrued but I said I would waive it as long as she did not take too long (a week) finding me oneI have to pay for additional parking spot for the shop.I called the [redacted] Several times to see if she made any progress finding a rebuilt transmissionIt took her over four (4) months to decide what to doOn March7, 2015, the [redacted] Came into the shop and decided to pay (using her credit card) us upfront the $4,for a rebuilt transmission Rebuilt transmission has zero (0) miles on it, used transmission have miles on it Once we got started on the repair, we realized that her transmission was still good but the valve body and conductor plate was the issueSo, we ordered one and installed itThe conductor plate had a different VIN # so it could not be programmed We sent it back and received one that matched the VIN #We installed it and programmed itAfterwards, we test drove it to have the transmission to adaptIt wouldn't shift smoothlyI had a former [redacted] technician test drive it and he said the transmission had to be rebuiltSo, I took it to a transmission shop to get it rebuiltThey informed that the transmission was good but the coding was the issueThe valve body and the conductor plate was not married to each other so we had the unit reprogrammed and now the car runs smoothly. As for the tow truck alleged incident, the car was never towed it was drivenIn order to avoid any headaches, I agreed to get her rims fixedNow, I have the headache of answering this complaint even though I was generous and did not charge her for one hundred thirty (130) days of storageThat accruesto $3,in storage fee The valve body work we did amounts to $3,or $3,with discount The difference on either is less than $3,250, $or $respectfully Since, there is such a largedifference between the overcharge and the storage fee, I am willing to overlook it and call it evenIf she persists to harass me I will pursue legal actions to collect the balance on the storage fee.I want this over with and behind me I hope and pray that reason prevail over anger and emotions
