Worst Dental Experience - Unorganized, Unprofessional and Erratic and Subpar dental work!

I gave a great deal of thought to writing this review, and hesitated for quite some time. However, after much reflection, I felt that it was important to share my experience with Catrise Lynette Austin to encourage others to do their homework. The behavior I encountered from her was not just unprofessional, but truly alarming, as she was irate, unhinged and completely reprehensible for a medical professional. No patient should have to endure such substandard and poor treatment from a dentist that promises to deliver high quality customer care. My experience with Catrise Austin, VIP Smiles was so horrific that I terminated her services within 24 hours. Within 24 hours of installing temporary crowns, they not only became loose, but one fell off completely shortly thereafter, leaving one tooth completely exposed. Despite bringing this to her immediate attention the very next morning, she was dismissive and made many excuses for not correcting the subpar work. Having loose and missing temporaries caused significant pain and difficulty chewing, and left my exposed teeth vulnerable to infection, decay and fracture. Furthermore, she is extremely unorganized and has no staff to assist patients. She falsely claimed to have two offices, but in reality she leases dental space rather than running a dedicated dental practice. I voiced my concern that her practice was chaotic, and with no staff, she appeared to be haphazard, made many errors, easily irritable and flustered. Her practice lacked any structure. She requested payment using a link on her phone. I later learned that it was a PayPal link. She made many false statements to garner my business and trust. When I terminated her services due to numerous concerns, she became extremely unprofessional, irate, angry and grossly inflated and suddently changed her prices. Beyond my experience, several patients reported similar complaints citing her unprofessional behavior, disorganization and poor business practices. One patient publicly wrote the following: "Dr. Austin is a hateful, mean-spirited woman..." Another wrote: "Dr Austin is flying by the seat of her pants..shes disorganized." These are just a few excerpts from patient reviews that echo my personal experience with Ms. Austin. She even went so far as to try to persuade me to file a complaint against another dentist, and provided an extensive list of several agencies to do so - unsolicited. However, she never mentioned that there was a formal patient complaint publicly listed against her with one of those same agencies. Dr. Austin has breached her duty of care by violating standard care protocols, resulting in significant harm and privacy violations, malicious intent, failing to provide proper forms, while making disparaging and grossly false statements. I strongly encourage anyone that considers working with her to do their research, as everyone deserves professionalism, honesty and high quality patient care.
