BE CAREFUL I purchased two tickets to Come from away from one of their fraud operating entities known as Tickets Box Office - same phone number as VIP Broadway (201-430-6226). Tickets were marked up, and I was charged a servicing fee of $100. I did not get the tix when promised (day before the show) so called morning of the show. There policy is that only the manager can send me the tickets, but that I would have them by noon. No tix, so I called again, and they said I would have them by three. Called at three, was placed on hold 18 minutes, hung up called back placed on hold another 20 minutes (manager is in a meeting) - this is the day of the show! Called back and insist to speak to the manager, after about another 15 minutes he gets on and tells me he is cancelling the order because I was harassing his staff by calling so many times - he said his name was Roger Lex, probably lying. I paid over $200 for the tix, day of the show they were selling for over $700 - no doubt he sold them to a different buyer for a higher price and screwed me. He was a total jerk about it too.

Review: Disappointing Broadway Experience

In October I purchased 4 tickets to Kinky Boots at a cost of $ 514.40 a service called VIP Broadway.

I was instructed to pick up the tickets at a certain address which upon arriving found no one with any knowledge of my tickets or the company. At that point I went to the theater in hopes of resolving the situation but they seemed to have no knowledge either. At that point I had no choice but to purchase other tickets at a higher price so our evening would not be ruined.

Obviously there had been some mistake. Upon returning home I called VIP in an attempt to figure out what had happened. Instead of trying to resolve the matter in a friendly and professional manner I was:

LIED TO: Told that I was recorded on a video camera outside the pickup address at 8:05 implying that I was late (by then I had gone to the theater, bought other tickets and was inside)

THREATNED: Told if I attempted to contest the charges my credit rating would be ruined

Needless to say this experience soured my desire to ever go to another Broadway show or even visit New York City.

I send this information in hopes that someone will investigate the practices of VIP Broadway so that this cannot happen to another visitor to your City and perhaps find out if something similar hasn’t already happened to customers. [redacted]

Review: On August 28, 2013, I purchased what I believed were tickets to "The Book of Mormon" from the official website of the play. In fact, I was misled by a website that claimed to be the official one, but it is not. The tickets are being offered by a reseller at 2x the face value. This is illegal according to NJ law. Further, because they are not connected with the theater or its official ticket sales agent, I have no way of knowing whether the merchandise is legitimate. The company hides its actual name under the email name 'MissTickets.com." That is not a legitimate business, but a screen for their deceptive activities.

When I requested a refund, the seller refused and has consistently refused.

The tickets are NOT AS ADVERTISED and misrepresent their value and origin.Desired Settlement: I have asked the seller on several occasions to refund my charges, and they have refused. No other outcome is acceptable.

Review: I contacted VIP Broadway on Monday 15th December to buy two tickets to see the show iluminate on Thursday 18th December for a total cost of $205. I called them back an hour after to see if I could move the show to the following night Friday 19th December and they told me that was not possible and they were very rude and hostile towards me. I was told in the initial call for the booking that I would have the tickets in the post by Wednesday 17th December and nothing arrived. On the night of the show I checked my post again and there were no tickets but I had seen they had taken the money out of my account.

I decided to go to the theater for the allocated show time and they had no evidence of my booking. I contacted VIP Broadway at the theater and the guy laughed and said that he had cancelled my ticket without even notifying me. I asked him to then refund my money and he told me to take it up with my bank and put the phone down on me.

I was beyond horrified by the situation and I see from reviews on YELP that they have many dissatisfied customers. This company is clearly operating a scam in the hope that many people will not go through the time and effort to try and get their money back. Not only did I pay $205 for 2 tickets - I also learnt that the value of my ticket was $35 not $100 - which they charged me each ticket. Please advise me how I can prevent this company ruining many other people's lives and special occasion's - because my surprise holiday gift ended up disastrous and it was a completely miserable experience.

I have called my bank to see how they can help me get my money back but this company is not legitimate and they should NOT be in business!Desired Settlement: I want a full refund on my credit card and a full apology from [redacted] - the owner of the company.

I also think the Revdex.com needs to research this company, as I expect there is a lot of fraudulent activity occurring on a regular basis.

Review: Bought 2 tickets to "A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder" and paid $279. Went to the theater to pick them up and could not since the box office had no record of our tickets even though we repeatedly called VIP for more information the day before and the day of the show. Finally gave up and bought tickets 10 minutes before show and sat in our seats. It was shortly after that I received a text with the order number to pick up our VIP Broadway tickets. I went back to the box office and they found our tickets but they were "obstructed view tickets" and we did not order that kind of ticket. Was told the tickets originally sold for $40 each so we were charged more than three times the value of the tickets to a show that wasn't even sold out. When I got home two days later and looked up my credit card account I saw that I was charged another $38 from VIP Broadway even though I never authorized an additional charge.

Since then I have found similar complaints against VIP Broadway online and see they are scamming the public.Desired Settlement: refund by VIP Broadway or credit card company
