Negative 10 would be the fairest rating.
Avoid this Company at all costs.
VIP=Very Incompetent People.
Missed Closing, almost missed it again 3 days later, completely chaotic, negligent and apathetic with virtually no apology and no regard at all for the the human component. Solely transaction-based.
When Jay B states it will be an experience you will tell everyone about, he isn't kidding. Sadly, for all the wrong reasons.

(This event involves the Tempe Location) .DO NOT PROVIDE THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION ! Early on in the process they request to have your credit card number for an appraisal … DON'T DO IT. I specifically instructed them to contact me prior to using my CC to pay for an appraisal ($450).
They ran my card without notifying me. The payment was blocked by an app I have through my Credit Union. I told Mike J. I would bring him a check for the appraisal. He stated that would be fine.
I closed on my new home the first week of January 2019. On March 4th 2019 I received an app notification that VIP ran my CC once again for $450 ! When VIP was contacted Chris J. advised that Mike J. would not have accepted a personal check for an appraisal. I provided him a copy of my cancelled check deposited into VIP bank account, discounting his statement.
After not hearing from VIP for several days, I confirmed with the Title Company I was charged a second time for an appraisal ($450) during closing for my new home.
VIP received $900 for a single appraisal and was attempting to obtain an additional $450, two months after moving into my new home !
Ultimately I was refunded the $450 … I wonder how many other people this has happened to but were unaware. The accounting Dept. for this Organization is terrible.
I may consider notifying the ***, Fraud Unit, to look into their potential criminal practices.

V.I.P. Mortgage was in the process of changing how it collected for appraisals and we regret the error that happened with your loan. As you stated, we did refund the overage that was charged to your credit card. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

I am a disabled veteran, a kidney transplant recipient of 35 years, and a cancer survivor. I had the displeasure of being strung along, lied to and my plans ruined by VIP mortgage. I was in process of buying a home in Anthem, AZ with Richmond American Homes (another treacherous company) as the builder. I was forwarded to Austin B. of the Scottsdale office and in the beginning he was helpful. I was diagnosed with cancer in December of 2017 and plans were slowed down in terms of fixing up some issues with my credit. It is now April, and I have come to find out that everything I was told, from timeframes to deadlines, to my contract itself was flawed and Austin B. had been conniving with the higher ups at Richmond American to keep me out of the home that was built for me. VIP at times never responded to requests, put me off, and ignored what I was telling them about my illness, failing to see how it was affecting loan plans. I was repeatedly told to do thing regarding my credit but with this diagnosis I couldn't do it exactly when and how they wanted it. I was coming out of a chemo therapy treatment and was called by Austin B. and was warned that I might be getting a call from RA salesperson saying my contract was pulled. I was then called and notified that contract was indeed pulled. I was then called by Todd C, VP of sales with RA and was told no, my contract was not pulled. I went back and forth with both of them and to this day, contract was pulled and I have not received any further loan help or funding. I am going through another lender and hopefully can put this whole ordeal behind me and I suggest anyone working with them reevaluate their deals.

V.I.P. Mortgage, Inc. cares deeply for all of our customers and works every day to try and help people attain their dream of home ownership.
In this particular case, the borrower was not able to clear up credit issues that were outlined to him, so we were not able to get this loan approved.
In regards to the builder, Richmond American Homes, they kept checking with the loan officer to see if the loan was going to be approved as the borrower was making adjustments to the finishes, etc.
Richmond American wanted to make sure the borrower was going to have loan approval soon as the home was nearing completion. If the loan was not going to be approved, they would need to sell the home to someone else.
We certainly wish the borrower well and hope that he is able to get a loan approval with his new lender.

Amazing company! Worked for VIP in scottsdale for about 2 years. Great employees, great leadership, great atmosphere!
