Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:First, they did not install a HP pump for the above ground poolWe have the pump they installed and it is HP pump, which we were later informed was not big enough to satisfy the size of our poolFurthermore, we would have no clue if it was to the exact specifications of the previous pump because they took the old pump with themAs for the chemical imbalance they refer to, we spent over $dollars in chemicals trying to rebalance the pool after they installed the new pump to no availWe know how to care for properly functioning poolIt is as simple as taking a weekly sample to our pool supply store to have them test the water, which is what we didNeither my husband nor I expect any services rendered to be freeHowever, we do expect the services rendered and paid for to be completed properlyWe paid [redacted] for the pump installation and the leaks came from the hoses they attached to the pump that they installedThat's why its hard to understand why this trained professional would suggest that he noticed leaks around the system and fail to mention the issue in the first placeHe surely could have made more money by fixing another issue for usHowever, he didn't mention it because the leaks arose after [redacted] ***'s installationThe pool functioned properly before [redacted] replaced the pump, we only wanted to fix the noise issueThe pool now works fine, but only after hiring an alternative company to fix [redacted] ***s mistakesFinally as for the family issue they experienced, we are sorry to hear about that, but as an experienced business owner I understand the hardship of juggling business and familyWhich is why I can assure you not a single phone call or text message went to them after business hoursI have plenty of documentation to support my claimIt is not common practice for us to go through the Revdex.comThis whole situation could have been avoided had [redacted] or his associates returned any one of our attempts to contact them or made good on their initial offer to come back and fix the issues Regards, [redacted]

I apologize, it was indeed a 1HP pump we installed following the 1HP pump we removed as shown in the first pictureThe 1HP pump was installed in May 4, We did not get any complaints until August 30, The second picture is one that *** *** sent saying it was leakingThe picture he sent clearly shows connection to their FILTER which we did not installOne thing that bugs me and I fail to understand, why would you dump $worth of chemicals but fail to remove a dead bird from the pump basket? It's pointless to shock a pool and wait for it to turn clear but have a dead bird circulating in the water without actually removing it (flesh, guts, feathers, blood). We had to remove it ourselves, how can you say you can properly take care of a pool but fail to empty the pump basket? *** *** informed us of the bird, so it's not like he didn't knowSecondly, the reason the bird ended in the pump basket in the first place was because the skimmer was being improperly used without a skimmer basket, thus allowing a dead bird to by-pass and end up in the pump basket to begin with, plus any other debris that affect the pump and motorAnd again the flow of the pool was visible, circulating at a good speed in circular motionFailing to remove a dead bird causes most of your chlorine be used to sanitize leaving you with a high levels of TOTAL chlorine but NO FREE chlorineWe fixed the issue: Remove old noisy pump and replace with new pump plus additional plumbing partsAdditional leaks, filter repairs and pool service would of come at an additional cost, which he did not pay for or requested

I am rejecting this response because:The bird was in the pool for a day tops. We know this because we were constantly monitoring the pool for any kind of improvements. The $100 or so dollars in chemicals we put in the pool was over a matter of weeks because we were trying to improve the pools chemical balance. The point is the bird did not cause the pool to stop functioning or the leaks to happen, your companies poor workmanship did. The leaks did not happen until after [redacted] installed the new pump.  Lets keep this situation in perspective.  Any time you have a business that is ignoring its customer soon after they render their services, it is fair to assume that the business is not confident in their shoddy work.  Furthermore the bird nor the leaks are any excuse for the utter lack of customer service on your business' part. [redacted] said he would come back out and fix the issues he created and then totally stopped communicating. The fact that this is how you handle situations and are still in business is astonishing.

My husband is probably the only CPO trained repair man in Del Rio and has been working with pool repairs and maintenance for many years at this point. [redacted] complaint came 3 months after we installed a brand new 1.5HP electric pump for his above ground pool. His original problem was that the...

previous pump/motor which was still working, was making a terrible, very disturbing loud hum that was even bothering his neighbors. We replaced it exactly with the same specifications as his previous pump. When we came to check the complaint, our pump we installed showed no sign of it not working. Even though the pool was green, the flow of it is perfectly visible since the pool is round shape and moving along at great speed in circular motion. It is commonly known that above ground pools use either a 1HP or 1.5HP. Even the first search on google mentions this specific issue (source example:[redacted]. step 1.)The reason his pool was green was due to improper chemical balance. The chemistry reading showed that his pool contained 0 chlorine, and he mentioned that he had a dead bird in it, which we removed for him. The best thing he could of done himself was to open the pump basket and remove the dead bird as soon as he knew it was sucked in at the pool skimmer. He had a dead bird circulating in his water who knows for how long. We even shocked his pool for free, of course the next day it rained, so I am sure the chlorine levels went back to 0.Our cleaning service is not free. Chemicals are not free and they are not included with the installation of a pump.We also noticed leaks around the filter but us fixing leaks is not part of a pump installation and it is not a free service or a bundle that comes with the installation of a pump. His filter looks old, probably needs maintenance and isn't filtrating at its best. Mainly a green pool just needs a good amount of chlorine and consistently not just once in a while, specially after a dead animal has been in the pool and after rain. His salt-chlorinating system also looks old and possibly obsolete. We did not get back in contact because as we were dealing with a family issue. During this time he consistently started called over and over to the point where it was invasive and rude. Even after business hours and off days.

I am rejecting this response because:First, they did not install a 1.5 HP pump for the above ground pool. We paid [redacted] for the pump installation and the leaks came from the hoses they attached to the pump that they installed. That's why its hard to understand why this trained professional would suggest that he noticed leaks around the system and fail to mention the issue in the first place. He surely could have made more money by fixing another issue for us. However, he didn't mention it because the leaks arose after [redacted]'s installation. The pool functioned properly before [redacted] replaced the pump, we only wanted to fix the noise issue. The pool now works fine, but only after hiring an alternative company to fix [redacted]s mistakes. Finally as for the family issue they experienced, we are sorry to hear about that, but as an experienced business owner I understand the hardship of juggling business and family. Which is why I can assure you not a single phone call or text message went to them after normal business hours. I have plenty of documentation to support my claim. It is not common practice for us to go through the Revdex.com. This whole situation could have been avoided had [redacted] or his associates returned any one of our attempts to contact them or made good on their initial offer to come back and fix the issues.
