Virgil's Plumbing has been handling our plumbing for yearsFrom freeing up drains to designing a bath layout to reconfiguring our mechanicals to allow for best use of space they've handled many jobs for usWe originally contacted Virgil's Plumbing when we had a stoppage in the mainline for our homeObviously this is a major issue, as it basically locked up the plumbing for our homeThis happened late one evening after hoursWe were able to get another company to come out on an emergency basisThat rep of Precision Plumbing proceeded to tell us the drain could not be cleared and we'd have to tear out and replace the line, which would have included tearing up the floor of the home, the patio the line ran under to the septic, etcHe would not even attempt to rod the main, leaving us with no plumbing and handed us a quote for several thousand dollars for this jobNext day I decided to get other opinions and called Virgil'sThey came out, rodded the drain, and got us up back up and runningWhile they could well have corroborated that quote and attempted to get the more costly job for their own company, they did the honest thing and got us back up and running instead of holding us over a barrel for profit, as I felt the other company was attempting to doEverything has always been done well and at a reasonable priceVirgil's is our go to for these issues, no question, no doubtThey've proven they're honest, they've proven they know what they're doing and they've proven that if you have a serious issue they understand the urgency of some situations, and will jump on it to get you back up and goingThat has carried forward for years at this pointThere are plenty of companies in this and other fields that, in my opinion, will make every attempt to take advantage of a bad situation for you to turn it into a highly profitable one for themThese guys are not those peopleThinking about it now, the first time they came out they didn't know me from AdamI wasn't sent to them on recommendation by a friend, a colleague or whatever, but blindly pulled them off of *** looking for a second opinion on something that didn't seem right to me, and it turns out it wasn'tI have no reason to think they don't treat everyone this way in giving an honest assessment of what you actually need and going about getting it done at a fair priceHave a problem, or need some sort of other work done, pick up the phone, you've found your guy

Virgil's Plumbing replaced the flush system but water immediately leaked from the tank into the bowl, causing the tank to constantly refillWhen notified of the issue and requesting the problem be addressed, company response was poor After weeks, he returned, extremely unhappy and rude He replaced the flapper and leftIt still leaks and he is no longer respondingThe quality, professionalism and responsiveness is by far the worst we have experienced with any plumberLastly, the business is not in good standing with Illinois Office of the Secretary of State (as of August 10, 2018)
