I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
Yes we had a savings bookBut when account was opened there was no feeI was never notified of a $fee a month or I would have moved my child's savings acct somewhere elseEven after the bank closed the account I never received a letter telling us thisI want my daughter's $refunded to her This is a child's savings account it was not used often this was her Christmas money she saved

My daughter is only nowSo yes she is under age of Yes my name was on the account VA Bank & Trust never sent us a letter stating about $charges nor did we get a letter about her account being closed They don't send statements out so we had no way of knowing about

This letter is in regard to the complaint of [redacted]. [redacted] and her daughter [redacted].This was a savings account which provided the customer a savings book so she could be aware of anydeposits or withdrawals. The bank also provided a Truth in Savings Initial Disclosure - Savings (attached)to the customer. It states how to avoid the imposition of fees. A monthly service charge of $4.00 will beassessed if the daily balance drops below $100.00.As of May 31, 2014, [redacted] had a balance of $352.04 in her savings account. She made awithdrawal July 21,2014 in the amount of $200.00. Another withdrawal was made August 20, 2014 inthe amount of $75.00.
