Reading a response from VP Auto, is exactly what I would expect from used auto sales and typicalI'm sure there are many fraud claim attempts to used car or any dealershipsI'm not going to type to defend my credibility, but to clarify the reply, I called the dealership stating the vehicle ran very poorly, I did purchase outside of ***, as per their request (violation of [redacted] policy which I will notify now), and sold as runs excellentAlso says gets 50mpg, which only was getting 37.5mpg and running very rough upon delivery.any phone calls and emails were placed to communicate about vehicles poor condition than advertisedNo return calls except for that last one where I was out of luck on battery (warranty apparently was expired within 3mo which was not after 3mo, and was original battery, the 12v was replaced not HV battery) another statement means when you purchase all known issues are known and mentioned and not responsibleSelling a vehicle with many unreported issues and stating its an excellent car, gets 50mpg, took on a 1000mi road trip without issues at all and a rebuilt HV battery pack with warranty, and then none of it trueLying on documents to sell vehicles in a condition other than reality to people shouldn't be in business and is what kills our society of being honest hard working Americans we once wereSome of us still strive on that legacy

I am rejecting this response because:
There is no resolution to acceptI do not recall battery being only servicable at VP AutoThe only reason I purchased vehicle is because of new battery, and all of the advertisements associated with vehicleThe radio did stop working recently but that is an as is problemMotor, and HV battery was clearly advertised in excellent condition, which was entirely false I had toyota's service dept look at battery and it was not replaced and only the 12V battery was replacedVP Auto has given a different excuse each time I've called about the car since day And that is after I finally was able to get them to respondThe vehicle was undrivable even when I got itCodes were popping up on the first day, and would barely even get up to speedAbsolutely no way possible they drove it on a trip as said without issues and was able to get 52mpg as saidThat doesn't matter except for that VP Auto sold and willinly knowing of major problems with a car to someone miles away and trying to get away with itShows why they did whatever they could to go around *** and paypal to complete auto sale$paid for vehicle
$costs of repairs
would be willing to accept half of cost for repairs and I cover half

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
The response by Virtual Paradise Auto Sales is both untruthful, missleading and grossly inaccurateAs I indicated in my complaint, Virtual charged fees that according to my multiple inquires to the State Of PADepartment of Transportation were inaccurateAccording the the DOT, there is a $charge to issue a NEW TITLE form the StateTHIS DID NOT occur! Virtual only signed over a old title already in hand, there was absolutely no involvement from the State of PAand The D.O.Tin issuing a new Title. The $fee would only be charged by the State if they actually issued a NEW physical TitleMoreover, upon talking with different PAD.O.Tagents, and checking with the State's D.O.Twebsite for fees there was indeed no such provision as State Document FeeI was informed by agents at the D.O.T., as I indicated previously, there would be a registration fee of $only if the Vehicle was being registered in PAThere be a $fee if the State were to issue a new Title and State of PAVehicle taxes would also be required. NONE OF THESE OCCURED. I was advised by the DOT that an out of State purchaser would not be required to pay PA registration fees, PAState Taxes, if the vehicle was taken out of State and It would further be the responsiblity of the buyer to register, pay vehicle taxes etcin his or her own State.
The State DOT did allow for a Temporary License Plates to drive the vehicle out of the State if one did not have a legitimate plate to transfer, and the $charged by Virtual in that regard was okayIn regards to claims by Virtaul that I was on the phone for minutes and in their office for hours arguing the fees, just simply a gross untruth! Prior to making the trip to PAthe total of several calls to Virtuall to discuss particulars of this transaction would have amounted to 20-minutesRegarding the time in the Office, after an exhuasting minute debate about the Fees, I was in the office only long enough to sign paperwork and leave, the total time would have been less than minutes. Regarding the conversation in the Office, I DID make it clear that if I were not handling this on behave of my nephew, I would have left the car and not done business with them.
Any claims that Virtual made regarding me being happy with this vehicle and or transaction is simply a untrueThe condition of the vehicle was very miss-represented, with one of their agents/employees only mentioning the "Hard-starting" nature of the vehicle after the transaction was done, claiming it was common in Volvo's and may too be due to low gas levels as well?????? Cosmetically too, there were many defects that were intentionally not shown, while claiming said vehicle to be in far better conditionAs much as Virtaul may try and claim that they offered to cancel the transaction after the fact, had I been from the State of even near by, I indeed would have insisted on same. As it was Virtual already had a $deposit, and transportation to their facility had cost me another $(Air Fare, Trains)Leaving their location without a vehicle and returning to Wisconsin would have cost an additional $or so in transportation costs, not to mention a minimun of another hours in time. Spending $1,000.00+ dollars and more than a day in traveling to return without a car was even a worse situation and the Terrible tranaction in and of itselfIt too is of interest that Virtual intentionally sent an Unpaid Item Claim to ***, in an effort to alter the rating and mention of this transaction, as well as leave a negative mark against my *** account statusI indeed had to provide *** proof that Virtual was being intentionally untruthful in that regard, afterwhich *** removed the bogus report.
In closing, I stand by everything in my intital complaint and believe that I can easily document all that I have statedVirtual was and is being very Untruthful in reporting the facts of this matter and needs to be held accountable

I can see that I'm not alone in having a bad experience with VP, Virtual Paradise Auto in Kinzers, PA I purchased a Prius on eBay from them and it had numerous undisclosed issues, most of which I was unaware of until leaving the lot I wondered why the whole transaction was rushed through It was so I didn't have time to look things over to see body damage underneath the front end Lovely! There were warning lights on, brakes and check engine, that were not disclosed in the eBay description I came there from Minnesota so it isn't too easy to just leave the car and return when I'd come with a one-way ticket The hybrid battery did last about months so I guess I'm luckier than some Just like others here I wasn't able to leave them negative feedback on eBay because they wouldn't conclude the transaction there Real honest operators, not My advice is to be very careful dealing with VP Auto and expect the worst Probably sometimes they might have a good car but they will tell you a bad one is a good one if they have to I am still driving the car but I had to put $immediately into the car that I hadn't expected and it still has the damage underneath the front end which greatly detracts from its residual value

Thank you for the letter regarding this customer. So far only two of her statements are true. She did buy a car and it was a [redacted].We responded and spoke to her many times. Our auctions clearly state we will not be reasonable for any light on in cars, this is in the terms and conditions. Lights can come on for various reasons including leaving the gas cap off or tampering with a fuel pump and not repairing it properly. By her own admission the car was at 2 mechanics, one who replaced a fuel pump and one who tried to fix the gauge. Both told her that the check engine light was on because of the gauge. This is an outright lie or misinformation. Any [redacted] dealer will tell you it is not possible. She made numerous extortion attempts via [redacted]. As-is means when you purchase all known issues are known and mentioned and not responsible. Selling a vehicle with many unreported issues and stating its an excellent car, gets 50mpg, took on a 1000mi road trip without issues at all and a rebuilt HV battery pack with warranty, and then none of it true. Lying on documents to sell vehicles in a condition other than reality to people shouldn't be in business and is what kills our society of being honest hard working Americans we once were. Some of us still strive on that legacy.
