9/18/16I Daniel V[redacted], have been a union journeyman electrician for 8 years. Plus 5 years of schooling & training through the IBEW Apprenticeship. I am also a "Master Licensed" Electrician in Wilkes Barre City; where the work took place, City of Scranton, Hanover Twp, and...
all surrounding areas in Northeast PA. I was first hired by [redacted] on 02/08/16 to fix an electrical installation failure by "Unlicensed Handyman Roofers" as she explained them; to "save money." I was fully paid for this work. ($200.00) I was then hired again on 8/11/16 to install a new exterior light. She had called me as a service call to come look at the project, get what I needed to fully finish the install, and professionally install the light as asked. [redacted] was charged from the minute I, and my apprentice electrician arrived on the job. My apprentice electrician stayed behind to get a start on the project as I ran for materials for the job and the light/LED lamps. My apprentice had to disassemble the existing outdoor light wiring to access an repipe conduit for the new light in a difficult location. This work took him 35 minutes as well as me 35 minutes to grab material & the light. On my return, I assisted my apprentice on pulling wire, reassembling the existing outdoor lighting, & installation of new materials & light! All this work after my return took an additional 20 minutes per person. Therefore my total time on this project was 55 minutes per man plus clean up & signing of the invoice. [redacted] was charged @ $60 per hr/per man. Me - master electrician = $75.00 per hourApprentice Electrician = $45.00 per hour - Averaged to - $60 per man hr. - This is a very fair & reasonable rate which [redacted] agreed to pay at the time through a mailed check. She also signed the invoice in agreement. Material costs were $75.00 total. The total invoice amount was $195.00.Through being in business on my own for 2 years, I've never encountered a discrepancy with price as with the complaint. Our prices are equal if not lower than 90% of our competitors. This particular job would have taken a single electrician 2 hrs to complete total. [redacted] still as never paid me one cent of the bill. I hope this clears up any discrepancies. Thank you,Daniel V.
