Absolutely horrible
I spent well in excess of $100,000 to have my house remodeled. I was really looking forward to a very nice looking roof, new trim, new decks.

The work was absolutely horrible! Not one single piece of Hardie was cut properly. The siding looks more like a zig zag then anything. The siding was put on top of the old siding! Now it’s buckled. There is missing Tyvek in a ton of places.

The roof. Omg the standing seam metal roof was put on top of the old roof! Snow guards were not staggered, pieces were not cut right.

The deck is the worst part. Absolutely nothing has been mitered. The board are cut to the wrong lengths. The railing is crooked. The spindles are cut too short.

I would be more than happy to provided picture proof!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Review: The contractor was hired to remodel, paint, and provide climate control for an existing room. The climate control is not effective and the paint is visibly flawed. The contractor was contacted. The contractor agreed that the work was not satisfactory, and agreed to make amends. After months of phone calls, the contractor returned to fix the job, but forgot to bring the materials. Several more weeks of phone calls and text messages in good faith have not resulted in any offers for appointments by the contractor.Desired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursed for another contractor of my choosing to complete the job properly, or be reimbursed for $1000.

Response:

In response to the complaint submitted by [redacted], I only have a few items to contest and clarify. Specifically to the fact of the matter that going into the job we were contracted because of our previous successful relationship with the clients' fiance. She was a good returning customer and is why we signed onto the job at such an inexpensive price. The couple had a budget to me and we complied and went above and beyond our agreement by accomadating to additional requests without additional costs.

In response to the "service issues" the client was advised to update the heating and cooling system prior to job start. A professional in the indusrty for over 30 yrs. made the recommendation of upgrading, but the affordability was not there so we tied into the existing furnace with the understanding of it being less than efficient. The issue involving the paint on the trim work is less than an issue. Simply, the original trim was supposed to be premium #2 grade pine, stained, and varnished. After installation the option to paint the pine was entertained and we painted with one coat primer, and two coats gloss to cover which complies with industry standards. When "knotty" pine is painted, no matter how many times, the knots will continue to show through over time. Paint doesnt last forever.

Upon completion of the job, all monies were paid and both parties satisfied with the work. When one of our jobs is completed, there is usually a punch list and no items were attached.

In conclusion I would like to apologize to [redacted] for his disgruntaled outlook on the project and wish him the best. There will be no further provisions or efforts on my part to correct any of the underlying "problems" that he attests. Thank you for you business

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

The contractor falsely stated in his response that " A professional in the indusrty for over 30 yrs. made the recommendation of upgrading". No such recommendation was made to us. We were never "advised to update the heating and cooling system prior to job start". Our heating system remains sufficient for the rest of the house, unless we close enough other vents in order to to force air through the long, twisting, skinny duct that the contractor installed. We were told before purchase that our existing system would be adequate and that the room would have adequate climate control. When the contractor returned to investigate our complaints that the duct does not work, he admitted that he agreed that the duct was doing a very poor job, and offered to pay the hardware costs for a supplemental heating unit. The contractor stopped returning our calls shortly thereafter, and no monies have been received for such hardware. See the attached picture of this "professional" duct work.
