We trusted Tom with our wedding video. He spoke highly of his abilities. We trusted him and his price was reasonable. He first said he was available on the date of our wedding then said he was going to be in Japan. I'm sure he already knew this before even giving his word. Then he said his partner who was equally qualified will be there. His partner did not even have a cellphone! He didn't even bother reaching out to us to touch base. He finally said he had his mom's cellphone but only call him if necessary. By then it was to late to look for any other videographer. The editing was bad, Tom randomly put a shot in during the mother son dance. His excuse was
the battery must have died or there were to many unsteady shots. Please don't use them.to google drive like he promised saying his internet was slow. We got a dvd in a plain case with a sticky note!!! They also go by video edit pro or vision real productions. Save your money, this company is crap.
I told this client on the phone ahead of time that I may have my 2nd cameraman shoot the video because I have a trip in the works which might fall on their wedding date. I promised to update them as soon as I knew and I did that well ahead of time. she makes it sound like I just dropped the 2nd cameraman on them at the last second. This is not the case and she knows this.
While I understand some of their criticisms with some aesthetics of the video, this review is far different from the e mail the client sent me recently which expressed some negatives but also said positive things, especially in regards to the ceremony.
We do most of our weddings with one person. It helps keep prices very reasonable. August/Sept. is a very busy time and camera operator availability runs low. Dan did a good job but sometimes, crowds can hinder shooting. He was up front with me about that.
I don't know why the client thought that Dan would be the one to contact if they decided they wanted a different videography company. They knew that I am the primary contact and they could have cancelled the contract ahead of time if they chose to.
Dan did reach out to them through e mail ahead of time. Long story short, the client makes it seem like we didn't communicate with her and just dropped a different cameraman on her as last minute surprise. None of which is true. Naturally, I am never happy if a client is unhappy about something and makes a complaint. However, the testimonials on my website and wedding sites are very good and speak for themselves.
