We are very sorry for the inconvenience this patient has experienced at our officeThe cost of our lens warranty is $per year with an additional $charge when the warranty is used Hence, the total charge of $for the pair of replacement lenses was correctHowever we understand that it may not have been explained appropriately at her time of purchase With regards to her lenses, we sincerely apologize that they were not initially mounted properlyAs we have no optical lab onsite at this location, we are sometimes at the mercy of the outside labs we employ for quality control We have spoken to them concerning this matter and they have assured us that they will provide only the highest quality of work in the future Additionally, we have adopted stricter quality control measures ourselves with regards to the inspection of all eyewear dispensed in our optical shop We would like to honor this patient’s request for a refund for the protection plan fees she paid at our location We will begin our refund process immediately As with any patient who is less than satisfied with their experience at our office, we wish to make amends and retain them for future visits We pride ourselves on building quality relationships with our patients and wish to do right by them We are therefore also willing to offer this patient a 25% discount on her next purchase of eyewear at our office in the hopes that this may resolve this issue
