Review: In December 2012, at the cleaning the dr tells me I need an ONLAY. They said my insurance didn't cover the composite (white) one and it would cost about $800. They said they could get it done that same day in about an hour. I said ok but regret it. I should've listened to my instinct because while waiting I overheard them saying the exact same recommendation to another patient in a different room. "You need an Onlay."
All said and done I call my insurance because I was uneasy about the costs and they said that they did cover a portion of the expense. I called and the owner called me and stated they would look into it, but no call back. I went to 2 more dentists within the past year and after doing x-rays both said that I didn't need an ONLAY and that a regular filing would have been just fine.
This place was recommending Onlays to patients so that they could pay off their $100,000+ machine that makes them on the spot. It's unfortunate we don't have honest dentists like these 2 owners. They didn't look into my insurance correctly and I paid $800 out if pocket with the owner never resolving my complaint or calling me back.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of approximately 50% since I paid out of pocket $800. At the time of this procedure my insurance covered approximately half the cost of the white Onlay.

happy with all aspects of treatment. As a principal part of our commitment to customer service
we provide each patient with a comprehensive examination and recommend treatment based on
said diagnosis. Additionally, we make every effort to accurately estimate co-payments
associated with the recommended treatment for each patient.
Please be assured, the treatment recommended and provided for Mr. [redacted] was appropriate to
his presenting conditions at the time of service.
Mr. [redacted] was charged what we believed to be the appropriate amounts at the time of service
for all treatment rendered. However, after an internal audit, we have found an inadvertent error
in the charges. Therefore, we have issued a refund to Mr. [redacted] in the amount of $400.00 as
requested.
In closing, the treatment provided to Mr. [redacted] was appropriate and well within the clinical
standard of care. However, please advise Mr. [redacted] to allow up to ten (10) business days for
receipt of this refund.
