RE: Revdex.com Complaint Case # [redacted] (Ref #XX-XXXXX-XXXXXXXX-X-XXX) Consumer: [redacted]
Date: June 16, 2017
In response to the above complaint received:
On June 5, 2017 we sent 2 crew members to [redacted]...

[redacted] They trimmed the overgrown bushes in the front and back yard and accidentally hit a cable wire that was hidden within the bushes. The crew informed the homeowner that they hit the wire and let her know that they had to contact the owner. The homeowner then called our office and informed us of the
situation. She let us know that the crew had cut her cable wire, to which [redacted] (office assistant) apologized to her. The homeowner thought that the crew was calling to inform the office but they called the owner, which he did not pick up. The homeowner proceeded to tell [redacted] that she could contact her cable provider to see when they could repair the damage. She told [redacted] she would feel more comfortable having a licensed technician repair the damage, at which point [redacted] then let the homeowner know that we would get a hold of Mr. [redacted] and get back to her because we think that he would be able to repair the damage. A couple hours later, after not returning her call because we were unable to reach Mr. [redacted], she called to inform us that she contacted her cable provider and they would be able to come and repair the damage for [redacted] again asked her to hold off on getting the damage repaired by the cable provider because we wanted to see if we could repair the damage with no out of pocket cost for either party. Mr. [redacted] had since been to the homeowners home and looked at the damage, apologized to her and let her know that he would need to come to the shop to get some tools to repair the damage. The homeowner called and spoke to [redacted] again letting her know that she did not want us to repair the damage, she wanted the cable provider to come out and wanted us to pay for the damage, even though we gave the option to temporarily fix the damage so she wouldn't have to go a week without cable until the provider was able to come out. She proceeded to tell [redacted] that we didn't know what we were doing and used foul language at which point [redacted] informed her that she did not have to listen to the profanity and hung up the phone. When the homeowner called again, Mr. [redacted] wanted to rectify the situation by offering again to repair the wire, to which she refused and went on to use a racist term by calling Mr. [redacted] a "hillbilly" and say that he has no business running a business of his own. We left the matter at that and sent her a bill for the work that was done, along with a statement showing a past due balance from work previously done in April that still has not been paid for. Due to the nature of the homeowners actions and responses to the way we were trying
to rectify the matter, Mr. [redacted] feels like it would not be beneficial to either party to step foot on her property.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
Office Manager

[redacted]'s responds to my complaint is NOT satisfactory in any way, shape nor form. (1) The before/after photos provided are NOT a representation of the shrubbery allegedly trimmed at the time damage to my satellite cable occurred. The damage done by [redacted]'s crewmen occurred in the back of my home while trimming 15 inch high native spider ferns 3 inches away from the foundation of the house horizontally, not vertically. The cable cut within the proximity of the foliage was securely screwed down on the outside of my home 40 inches above the ground - a ~25 inch clearance between the shrubbery and the cable (see photos provided). (2) The letter provided not only ignored conclusive video footage of the business owner flat out refusing to cover any cost of the damage done by his crewmen, but also ignored footage of him demonstrating a clear lack of competency to even repair the damage himself, followed by the owner simply driving away without notifying the owner of his need to leave in order to attempt to "try and fix" the damage himself (see earlier videos provided). Instead, the owner as well as his crew/office help continued to exponentially exasperate the situation, construct ersatz outrage, grossly fabricate erroneous and foundationless statements, as well as, to add insult to injury, send a bill all while willfully ignoring the matter at hand: [redacted]'s Landscaping was hired to perform a series of tasks. [redacted]'s crewmen damaged homeowner's property. The homeowner requested the business owner cover the cost of the damaged property. The business owner refused and left. Finally, business owners tend to have insurance that covers such things as this. It would be reasonable to believe that, based on [redacted]'s actions & his crew/office's horrid behavior, [redacted]'s Landscaping does not carry such insurance. My desired resolution: cover the cost of ALL damages done, as well as zero out the bill completely.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Resolution no accepted. This "business" clearly never had any intent on resolving the dispute nor compensating for damages done to my private property. If resolution were remotely attempted on their end I would not have been forced to escalate matters to the institutions such as Revdex.com. Unabashed lying about "several attempts to rectifying the situation" all while ignoring the audio/video evidence that clearly demonstrates the antithesis is both grossly unprofessional and exponentially belligerent on [redacted]'s landscaping's end. The case is NOT closed.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 27, 2017/07/31) */
To resolve the complaint we will credit from the bush trimming invoice the [redacted] that the customer stated the repair cost. This leaves her balance at [redacted]
Sincerely,
[redacted]
